The hotel represents the grace and elegance of Rajasthan palaces and the colonial splendour of Lutyen’s Delhi, a magnificent architectural blend that creates a truly out of this world experience. The royal service begins with a pick up in a 7 series BMW at the airport, then a grand welcome by larger than life stone elephants at the porch and the hospital hotel staff.

Attention to detail is noticeable in every aspect of the hotel; there are gold-leafed domes, fitted with Murano chandeliers from Italy, hand-woven carpets from Turkey and an impressive international art collection, as well as a team of hospitable staff who can accomplish the near-impossible.

When to go The best time to travel to India is between September and March, when the weather is most pleasant. Summer starts in April and by June, it becomes very hot. By July there is the south-west monsoon, which brings heavy rains to the west coast. Although the word "monsoon" often brings to mind images of torrential floods and landslides, it is not a bad time to travel. The downpour tends to come and go quickly, leaving behind a clean, glistening landscape.
