In the 1990s, it became one of the leading heritage hotels in Rajasthan, but it’s the surrounding serenity of the place that has attracted authors like Bruce Chatwin and William Dalrymple to come and write here.

There is a beautiful swimming pool with four charming pavilions, immaculate lawns and flower filled gardens. Rohet Garh also has its own stables of Marwari horses, known for their inward-turning ear tips, hardiness and a natural ambling gait. The owner, Sidharth Rohet is passionate about horses and will happily arrange a day’s riding, discovering local villages and the wildlife. Birdwatchers will enjoy a tour to the neighbouring lake where you can see up to 200 species of birds.
