Pakistan Tours & Holidays

Small Group Tours & Tailor-Made Holidays

Pakistan is a land of extraordinary contrasts, where towering mountains, ancient civilisations, and vibrant cities create a traveller’s paradise. From the mighty Karakoram and Himalayan ranges, home to K2, the world’s second-highest peak, to the bustling bazaars of Lahore and Peshawar, every corner of Pakistan tells a tale of adventure, history, and culture.

For history lovers, Pakistan’s past unfolds in the ruins of Mohenjo-Daro, a relic of the Indus Valley Civilisation, and in the Mughal grandeur of Lahore Fort and Badshahi Mosque. The Karakoram Highway, one of the world’s highest paved roads, offers a breathtaking journey through dramatic mountain landscapes, while the Hunza and Skardu valleys present crystal-clear lakes, ancient forts, and stunning glaciers.

Beyond the mountains, the deserts of Sindh and Balochistan, the pristine beaches of Gwadar, and the lush green meadows of Fairy Meadows showcase Pakistan’s incredible geographical diversity. Whether trekking through remote valleys, exploring vibrant cities, or indulging in rich Pakistani cuisine, this is a country that rewards the intrepid traveller with warm hospitality and unforgettable experiences.

Discover Pakistan with Asian Geographical—where adventure, culture, and history come together in an epic journey.

Pakistan Highlights

LAHORE FORT AND MUGHAL HERITAGE: Explore Lahore Fort, Badshahi Mosque, Shalimar Gardens and the old city, where Mughal architecture, gardens, bazaars and food culture reveal Pakistan’s imperial past. Lahore is one of South Asia’s great historic cities, offering travellers a rich introduction to craftsmanship, courtly design and living cultural traditions.

TAXILA BUDDHIST SITES: Visit Taxila, one of South Asia’s most important Buddhist archaeological landscapes, where stupas, monasteries, sculpture and museum collections reveal the legacy of Gandharan civilisation. Close to Islamabad, Taxila adds deep historical context to Pakistan holidays, connecting ancient learning, trade routes and Buddhist artistic traditions.

KARAKORAM HIGHWAY: Travel the Karakoram Highway, one of the world’s great mountain roads, following rivers, gorges, glaciers and high peaks through northern Pakistan. This overland journey links dramatic landscapes with mountain villages, suspension bridges and viewpoints, making it a defining highlight of Pakistan adventure and cultural travel.

HUNZA VALLEY: Discover Hunza Valley, known for its mountain scenery, orchards, stone villages, historic forts and views towards peaks such as Rakaposhi and Ultar. Hunza offers one of Pakistan’s most memorable combinations of landscape and culture, with a slower rhythm, warm hospitality and access to some of the Karakoram’s finest viewpoints.

SKARDU AND DEOSAI PLAINS: Experience Skardu and the Deosai Plains, where turquoise rivers, high deserts, lakes, mountain villages and vast open landscapes reveal the scale of Baltistan. This region is a gateway to major trekking routes and K2 country, while Deosai adds one of Pakistan’s most striking high-altitude wilderness experiences.

KALASH VALLEYS AND MOUNTAIN CULTURE: Explore the Kalash Valleys near Chitral, where distinctive traditions, wooden houses, festivals, dress and mountain scenery create one of Pakistan’s most unusual cultural landscapes. Set within the Hindu Kush, the valleys offer a powerful contrast to the plains and a rare insight into remote mountain communities.

Why Choose Asian Geographical
Why Choose Asian Geographical

Exclusively Asia

The difference with the Asian Geographical is, that each of our holidays is designed with extreme precision of a mountaineering expedition.

Pakistan Regions

LAHORE AND PUNJAB: Lahore and Punjab introduce Pakistan through Mughal architecture, gardens, shrines, bazaars and rich food culture. Lahore Fort, Badshahi Mosque, Shalimar Gardens and the old city reveal the region’s imperial history and artistic refinement, while Punjab’s plains, villages and lively cities give travellers a strong sense of cultural continuity.

ISLAMABAD AND TAXILA: Islamabad and Taxila combine Pakistan’s modern capital with one of South Asia’s most important Buddhist archaeological landscapes. Islamabad offers a calm, green gateway to the north, while Taxila’s stupas, monasteries and museum collections reveal Gandharan art, ancient learning and the region’s deep position on historic trade routes.

KARAKORAM HIGHWAY AND HUNZA: The Karakoram Highway and Hunza Valley form one of Pakistan’s great mountain journeys, following dramatic rivers, gorges, glaciers and high peaks. Hunza’s forts, villages, orchards and views towards Rakaposhi and Ultar create a powerful blend of scenery, mountain culture and overland adventure.

SKARDU AND BALTISTAN: Skardu and Baltistan offer some of Pakistan’s most dramatic Himalayan and Karakoram landscapes, with high deserts, turquoise rivers, mountain villages, lakes and access to major trekking routes. Shigar, Khaplu, Deosai and the approaches towards K2 country make this region central to Pakistan’s expedition and mountain travel identity.

CHITRAL, KALASH AND THE HINDU KUSH: Chitral, the Kalash Valleys and the Hindu Kush reveal a distinctive cultural and mountain world in northwest Pakistan. Remote valleys, wooden houses, festivals, traditional dress and high passes create a region of strong identity, where ancient customs and dramatic landscapes set it apart from the rest of the country.

SINDH AND SOUTHERN PAKISTAN: Sindh and southern Pakistan bring together ancient civilisation, Sufi shrines, desert landscapes, river culture and coastal heritage. Mohenjo-daro, Thatta, Makli, Sehwan and Karachi reveal a different side of Pakistan, linking Indus Valley history, Islamic architecture, spiritual traditions and the Arabian Sea.

WEATHER IN Pakistan

The best time to visit Pakistan is from April to October, with the northern mountains best from June to September for valleys, high passes and trekking. Spring and autumn are better for Lahore, Islamabad and cultural touring, while summers can be very hot across the plains.

  • Pakistan's weather varies significantly across its diverse regions. In the north, the mountainous areas like Gilgit-Baltistan and the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province experience harsh winters with heavy snowfall, making summer (May to September) the best time to visit. During these months, the weather is mild and ideal for trekking and exploring scenic landscapes like Hunza Valley and Fairy Meadows.
  • The central plains, including Punjab and parts of Sindh, have a subtropical climate. Summers (May to August) are extremely hot, with temperatures often exceeding 40°c. The monsoon season, from July to September, brings much-needed rain, but it can also lead to flooding. The best time to visit these regions is during the cooler months of October to March, when temperatures range from 15°c to 25°c, making it perfect for exploring cities like Lahore and Islamabad.
  • In the southern region, particularly Karachi and the coastal areas of Sindh and Balochistan, the climate is hot and humid most of the year. Winters (November to February) are mild and pleasant, making this the best period to visit. During this time, temperatures hover around 25°c, allowing for comfortable exploration of beaches and coastal attractions.
  • For the southwestern desert areas like Thar in Sindh and Chagai in Balochistan, winters are also the preferred time to visit due to the extremely high temperatures during summer. Overall, the optimal time to visit Pakistan largely depends on the specific region, but generally, the cooler months from October to March are the most favourable for travel across the country.
