Experience delicious Thai cuisine at the award-wining Baan Thai Restaurant, feast on Bengali dishes or try Sushi at ThreeSixtyThree°, a contemporary space fusing Indian, Asian and European influences. In the evening, experience Indian Wines and journey through the ancient history at the Bar.
Guests at the Oberoi Grand are within walking distance to New Market and Shahid Minar. The hotel is also within close proximity of Indian Museum and Mohammedan Sporting Ground. Take a guided tour to see the Marble Palace, Mother Teresa House and Victoria Memorial and maybe try crossing the Howrah Bridge. Back at the hotel jump into the swimming pool, set in the central courtyard and relax on a sun lounger with a drink or visit the excellent Spa with steam room and sauna.
Stay The Oberoi Grand hotel offers 209 rooms and suites, distributed in four groups. All are furnished in classic, colonial style with high ceilings, four-poster beds, large picture windows and sitting areas with comfortable sofas. Some rooms have balconies overlooking the courtyard, garden or pool. Modern amenities include air-conditioning, LCD TVs and DVD players. Beds are dressed in premium bedding and marble bathrooms offer deep soaking tubs and quality toiletries.
ChildCare Families with children are welcome to stay at Oberoi Grand hotel but there are no specific facilities available. However, there is lots to do in and around the hotel and the city offers interesting sites and experiences for children. Babysitting service can be arranged on request.
Dine There are two restaurants at The Oberoi Grand hotel. Baan Thai is the hotel’s award-winning restaurant and the go-to place for authentic Thai cuisine in Calcutta. Enjoy fine dining at threesixtythree° restaurant that serves Indian, European and Japanese cuisine. Experience local Bengali dishes to freshly rolled sushi. Guests who desire a more relaxed ambiance, can have light-bites at the Bar with poolside views and impressive range of local and international spirits.
Relax Situated in a separate wing of the Oberoi Grand is the Oberoi Spa with steam room, sauna and fitness centre lit by spectacular chandeliers. Therapy treatments are based on Aromatherapy, Ayurveda, Eastern and Western techniques. There is also a beautiful outdoor swimming pool with sun loungers and lots of spaces in the hotel for relaxation.
Experience Guests at the Oberoi Grand hotel can easily visit the Victoria Memorial, an Edwardian homage to Mughal architecture. Nearby is the old British Fort William and the 48-metre high Ochterlony Monument, the Kalighat temple and the Raj Bhavan, once the residence of the British Viceroy in India. Also visit the Marble Palace, Mother Teresa House or look out at the Howrah Bridge. Take a wildlife trek in the Sundarban National Park, to see the royal white Bengal tigers and rich birdlife.

Getting there Fly into Calcutta's Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport. From there, The Oberoi Grand is a 45-minute drive by road.
When to go Calcutta has three main seasons- Summer, Monsoon, and Winter. Summer, during March-May, is hot and humid with temperature touching 38-40°C. Monsoon starts in June and lasts till September, October. Winter starts in November and stays till February and weather is very pleasant. Best time to visit Calcutta is October-March.
