Founded by Lt. Col. Harish Kohli VSM, a decorated officer in the Indian Army, Asian Geographical boasts a distinguished history in exploration and adventure. As a member of remarkable expeditions in the Himalaya, including the Nanda Devi Sanctuary and Mt. Kangchenjunga, Harish has broadened his skills and expanded his expertise. Col. Kohli led pioneering expeditions, including the first Trans-Himalaya Expedition, an 8,000 km odyssey across the Himalayas, and the first Ski-Himalaya Expedition, a 2,000 km journey during the coldest winter in two decades. These adventures are documented in his book, Across the Frozen Himalaya. After taking early retirement from the Army, he undertook the Trans-Finnmark Expedition, a solo 700 km ski-sailing adventure in the Arctic, ran across Iceland and attempted to climb Mt. Everest solo, gaining deep insights into resilience and self-discovery.
