The ITC Mughal Agra is a luxury hotel, with an inspiring Mughal architecture, set in close proximity to the Taj Mahal. Once upon a time the Mughal dynasty played an important role in shaping Agra; today ITC Mughal is making its own contribution to revitalise that special culture. For its remarkable representation of Mughal architecture, the hotel won the prestigious Aga Khan Award and the property now boasts a brand-new wing aptly appointed Khwab Mahal (Palace of Dreams).
Situated just 15 minutes’ drive from the Agra's main tourist attraction, the Taj Mahal, ITC Mughal Agra features 233 luxury rooms and suites. All rooms are designed in contemporary style with comfortable beds and deep soaking tubs for absolute relaxation. Royal Mughal Suites have separate living area for plenty of space and the Grand Presidential Suites have plunge pool and in two of these suites there is a private massage room with Jacuzzi.
Guests at the ITC Mughal Agra have a choice of three international standard restaurants serving a fusion of Indian and continental cuisines. Cool off during the day in the swimming pool or on a chilly night in the temperature controlled pool. For relaxation there is Kaya Kalp Spa, one of the largest in India offering superb modern facilities and relaxation areas such as yoga gardens, a bird trail, a butterfly park and a conservatory. In the surrounds is Taj Mahal and other interesting historical sites.

Experience In addition to visiting the iconic Taj Mahal, the fabled monument to love, there are a plethora of other fascinating attractions in and around Agra. These include Agra Red Fort, the Fatehpur Sikri complex, the Sikandra tomb, and Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary, a bird watcher’s paradise. Back at the hotel there is a special dirt track for ATV’s for four-wheeling adventures, as well as a six-seat Tandem cycle for more family fun.
Location ITC Mughal is located just 3km from the centre of Agra, close to the Taj Mahal.
Getting there All major international airlines fly to India’s main airports. Delhi is the best point of arrival for Rajasthan and north India. There are domestic flights to Agra and you can fly into Agra's Kheria Airport. From there, ITC Mughal is just a 30-minute drive depending on traffic. Alternatively, there is a new two-lane highway from Delhi and it takes about 4 hrs, with a stop for refreshments.
When to go The best time to travel to India is between September and March when the weather is most pleasant. Summer starts in April and by June, it becomes very hot. By July there is the south-west monsoon, which brings heavy rains to the west coast. Although the word "monsoon" often brings to mind images of torrential floods and landslides, it is not a bad time to travel to India. The downpour tends to come and go quickly, leaving behind a clean, glistening landscape.
