Reni Pani Jungle Lodge is a comfortable luxury lodge, ideally located for access into the Satpura National Park. The property is owned and promoted by Nadir and Yawar Rashid, the grandsons of General Obaidullah Khan (the Commander-in-chief of the erstwhile Bhopal State forces). But what brings them to this wilderness is their childhood passion for preserving nature and wildlife. Both brothers live in the property to ensure that each guest enjoys the best wilderness experience.
Situated on low-lying forested hills around Tawa reservoir, Reni Pani Jungle Lodge offers just 12 luxury cottages encompassing three distinct architectural designs. All are built in local style, using indigenous materials and furnished with plush beds and modern amenities. The ‘Gol Ghar’ houses a sitting area with a library and where delicious contemporary style Indian meals are served. In the surrounds is an outdoor swimming pool, a perfect respite from the day’s scorching heat.
Satpura National park takes its name from the rugged Satpura range with narrow gorges, ravines and dense forests – home to a diverse wildlife including sloth bear, leopard, wild dogs, Indian bison, and 350 species of birds. Located close to the Tawa Reservoir and a short boat ride across, Reni Pani Jungle Lodge offers a perfect base to explore the park. Other activities include village walks, cycling in the surrounds, boat and canoe rides and a unique 2-night ‘Satpura Under Canvas’ adventure.
