Carnoustie Ayurveda Resort: Wellness Retreat in Kerala

Experience gourmet dining in Ida, the multi-cuisine restaurant set within a stunning bamboo structure or Chimera that specialises in seafood. Stay Carnoustie Beach Resort features just 30 thatched cottages. All are aesthetically designed in traditional style with large living rooms with spacious seating areas, ground to ceiling glass walls overlooking the surrounding gardens. Starting at a whopping 102 sqm, most have their own private pools, outdoor rain shower and verandas that overlook the estate. Lavish bathrooms and artistically designed with walk in wardrobes to ensure you have plenty of space for your holiday.

ChildCare Families with children are welcome to stay at Carnoustie Beach Resort & Ayurveda Spa. However, there are no specific facilities available for children. The resort is more suitable for couples, honeymooners or small groups instead families with children.  

Dine There are two restaurants, at Carnoustie Resort & Spa; the beautiful bamboo-made multi-cuisine restaurant, Ida, and the seafood restaurant Chimaera. There are also two bars; the 9 Degree North Bar and pool side bar complete the dining options. 

Relax The Carnoustie Ayurveda spa was featured in Forbes, as one of the “5 Top Wellness Retreats for Ultimate Renewal in 2017”. Accompanying the healing touch of Ayurveda, the Spa also offers the finest of Yoga and Naturopathy treatments as well as specially designed rejuvenation, body purification, slimming, anti-stress and beauty programmes. The spa has a team of doctors who can advise on treatments and Ayurveda diet and wellness plan.

Experience Nestled within coconut palm trees along the Marari Beach, Carnoustie is a perfect resort for holidaying with family or friends. Set in a peaceful and serene location, it provides an excellent base to just soak up the sun or explore its natural surrounds on foot are bike. Experiences on offer include backwater cruises, bike rides, archery and painting courses. Activity enthusiasts can choose for sea surfing, parasailing, water skiing, and deep-sea fishing in a traditional boat.
 


 

Location Carnoustie Beach Resort & Ayurveda Spa is located on Marari Beach about 1-hour south of Cochin, and 1-hour 30-minutes south of the airport.

Getting there Carnoustie Resort and Spa is located 90-minutes from Cochin International Airport with flights available with Emirates, Qatar, Etihad, Oman Air (all via the Middle East). You can fly direct with British Airways to Mumbai and then take a connecting flight down. It is only 30-minutes from Allepey where you can explore the backwaters. Other options to combine Carnoustie with are Lake Vembenad, Thekkady, Munnar or Kovalam.

When to go Isolated from much of India by the Western Ghats, the climate of Kerala & Karnataka is tropical. The best time to visit is from January through to April. Summer is hot and humid; the monsoon season arrives in early June and lasts till August. While September can be dry and humid. There can be a little rain in October and November, cooling off around December and lasting until February.
