Rosewood Phuket is a tropical beach hideaway, located on Phuket's southwest coast in Southern Thailand. Built like an ocean village along a stunning, 600-metre stretch of beach at Emerald Bay, Rosewood has just 71 spacious pavilions and villas, all with private infinity pool. Four dining options include Thai seafood on the beach to Mediterranean to a poolside café. There is lagoon style pool but the highlight here is the Asaya Spa, stated as one of the best in a country.
Stay Rosewood Phuket features 71 pavilions and villas. Pavilions start at 130 sqm for the Ocean View Pool Pavilion, with the most luxurious option being the standalone, 796 sqm, two-bedroom Ocean House; regardless, every pavilion and villa comes with a private infinity pool. Interiors have Thai-influenced architecture and décor, spacious bathrooms come with bathtub and an outdoor rain shower, while floor-to-ceiling windows bring in ample natural light and incredible views of the Andaman Sea.
ChildCare Families with children are welcome to stay at the Rosewood Phuket. There are two-bedroom villas, which are ideal for families. Children under-12 years can stay for free in their parents’ room; over-12s can stay with parents at a small cost. There’s a fantastic Rosewood Explorers Club with wooden pirate ship, treasure hunts and children’s pool. Babysitting service can be arranged, upon request.
Dine The main Ta Khai Thai restaurant at the Rosewood Phuket is inspired by traditional Thai village architecture and built from repurposed materials, creating a rustic ambience. For catch of the day, visit The Shack serving seafood, pizzas and chargrilled burgers, and all-day dining option Red Sauce, a breezy Mediterranean restaurant overlooking the beach. There is also Mai, a sophisticated pool side lounge where guests can lounge with cocktail, juices and snacks during the day or night.
Relax Leisure facilities include a gorgeous freeform swimming pool wrapped around palm trees and floating platforms and 600 metres of bright-white beach. On the hillside, the Asaya is Rosewood group's first spa concept, which has already earned its name as one of the best in the country. Apart from messages and therapies, it also offers specialised healing treatments like Chi Nei Tsang, Reiki and sound therapy. There is also a fitness centre and children’s pool.
Experience Guests can explore the island on hike or mountain bikes through the jungle, or kayak through sea caves that open into hidden lagoons, and Rosewood can arrange all of these for you. Visit the historic Old Town, but don’t miss the island's temples: both Wat Chalong and Wat Suwan Khuha, with their rich decorations and Buddhist relics, are fascinating. If it’s Sunday, then head to Lard Yai walking street for an outdoor market of handicrafts and street food.
