Location Soneva Kiri is located on a remote Koh Kood island situated on the east coast of Thailand. Koh Kood is the second biggest island of the province of Trat, after Koh Chang, lying at the end of Thai eastern maritime territory bordering Cambodia.
Getting There There are direct (11-hour) international flights from the UK to the Bangkok International Suvarnabhumi Airport. On arrival, you will be greeted by Soneva Kiri’s Private Airport Representative at the gate, escorted through immigration and checked in at Soneva Kiri Counter. You will then board the resort’s custom-fitted eight-seater Cessna Grand Caravan for the 90-minute flight to Koh Mai Si, Soneva Kiri's private airport island. From there it is just a 5-minute speedboat ride to the resort.
When to go The best time to visit most of Thailand is between November and March as this is the coolest time of year. March-Jun brings the hot season when sightseeing is best scheduled for morning or late afternoon. May, September and October are the wettest months and between June and August, you can still visit Bangkok although you will get some rain. During this time, there are fewer tourists and the landscape is lush and green.
