The spacious Villas have views over the temples of which the two-bedroom Palm Tree Villa is favourite amongst families. The Lotus Villas are located beside the lake overlooking the temples. These are backed by the Jasmine Villas and the Orchid Villas.
Dining options at Aureum Palace Hotel & Resort Bagan include Xanadu, an all-day restaurant serving continental and Asian cuisine and the Shan serving local Burmese and Thai food. Meals can be had indoor or al-fresco. After sightseeing relaxation includes two bars, cultural entertainment or rest by the poolside for ultimate repose. There is also a spa with six treatment rooms.
Stay Aureum Palace Hotel & Resort Bagan has a total of 114 rooms, 72 of which are housed in 45 villas. These are decorated with quality antiques, rich fabrics and local handicrafts. Deluxe Rooms are located in one block, facing inward towards a central swimming pool. Bedrooms are spacious with large bathrooms that are lavishly equipped. The spacious Villas feature private pools and separate dining areas with a full-time butler and staff at guests' disposal.

Dine Dining options at the Aureum Palace Hotel & Resort Bagan include two restaurants. Xanadu, an elegant all-day venue continental and fresh home-made pasta with aromatic Italian flavours, accompanied by fine Italian wines. For Myanmar’s traditional cuisines, visit Theme Restaurant, offering dishes once prepared for the Royal Family in Innwa Period (around 15th Century). Hero's Club is a popular meeting place after a hot day’s sightseeing to experience the very special Mandalay rum sour cocktail.
Relax The entrance to the Aureum Nature Spa is a true replica of an 11th century temple. The Spa’s design combines natural light, and warm earthy colours with the surrounding environment. The Spa offers remedies based on Ayurvedic rituals, derived from long-forgotten healing practices. Try the Myanmar thangka body scrub in one of the 6 Spa suites and 2 Massage Rooms. Other facilities include an outdoor pool and a golf course.
Experience Set inside the Bagan Archaeological Preservation Zone, Aureum Palace has easy access to many of the temples and pagodas. In the west is Ananda Temple, known as ‘the Jewel of Bagan’, to the south is an interesting Min Nanthu Village and not far to the east is the Nyaung Oo airport. Exploration is basically on a horse cart or bike tours. Ballooning offers a different perspective of the area and opportunities for some great pictures.

Getting There Yangon airport has undergone a major renovation and facilitates both international and domestic terminals. Bagan Nyaung Oo airport is easily accessible by air from Yangon. From the airport to New Bagan, it takes about 15-20 minutes by car.
When to go The best time to visit Myanmar is between October and April when the weather is dry and not so hot. At this time the warm and sunny days are ideal for sightseeing throughout the country. The temperatures start to rise in March and May to September is best avoided as this is the rainy season when sightseeing can become difficult.
