Inle Lake View Resort & Spa - Serene Retreat by the Lake

The resort offers 38 rooms and 2 villas connected to the lake by a canal, offering an elevated view of the beautiful lake. The architecture of the Inle Lake View Resort maintains the local theme intact with wooden and teak interiors. The spacious rooms are tastefully decorated with modern bathroom, firm king bed crowned with an atmospheric mosquito net and polished teak floors. There is no air-conditioning but the very high ceiling cools the room and there is a large balcony with great views over the lake.

The Bougainvillaea restaurant of the Inle Lake View Resort, serves international and Asian cuisine in cosy surroundings. There is also the Lotus Bar for a pre-dinner drink and the spa with its three individual massage huts. For a particularly special experience, consider booking the Hintha and Peacock villas, which are closest to the water, very private, and show outstanding design and touches, such as a spacious bathroom with rain shower and garden bathtub.

In the surrounds of Inle Lake View Resort, are floating vegetation patches, houses on stilts and long slim motor boats zipping across the lake, loaded with supplies or tourists seeking nirvana. But just as the sun begins to set, calm reigns on the lake and impresses on the fact, how perfect this location is for a long romantic weekend.

Dine Dining at the Inle Lake View Resort is a highlight. Breakfast is on the terrace in the warming sun before embarking on daily excursions. The afternoon and evenings were relaxing and comfortable, beginning with massages in the beautifully designed spa. Dinner is on veranda outside the Bougainvillaea Restaurant, which serves international and Asian dishes. At the cozy Lotus Bar, the barman gave us tips on cocktails, the local monasteries and the Buddhist philosophy.

Relax The Spa centre at the Inle Lake View Resort is beautifully designed and able to cater to the most discerning visitor. It offers traditional massages, manicure & pedicure, etc ...There are three individual huts for traditional and Oil Massage and one Jacuzzi Suite Hut. There is also an infinity heated swimming pool and boutique shop.

Experience At a walking distance from the Inle Lake View Resort is a small village, where we met school children returning home from school. The villagers were equally charming and friendly that really made our day. For those who seek to explore further; there are over 100 Buddhist monasteries here that may still lead you to salvation. This is not a place for jetset tourists but for those who are serious about their holidays.

Location Inle Lake View Resort & Spa is a rustic but beautifully charming hotel overlooking lake Inle. Located on the western banks of serene Inle Lake, it is one of the region's selected hotel choices. It has direct access to the lake from the hotel's jetty, near Taunggyi.

Getting There Yangon airport has undergone a major renovation and facilitates both international and domestic terminals. There are daily flights from Yangon to Mandalay, that takes about one hour and thirty minutes by air. In addition, you will need to fly from Mandalay to Heho airport (20 mins), which is a one-hour drive from Inle Lake.

When to go The best time to visit Myanmar is between October and April when the weather is dry and not so hot. At this time the warm and sunny days are ideal for sightseeing throughout the country. The temperatures start to rise in March and May to September is best avoided as this is the rainy season when sightseeing can become difficult.
