Sandoway Resort is a traditional style property, set on the pristine Ngapali Beach, in Southern Myanmar. Deluxe Rooms come in two designs; on one floor or two floors. The spacious 80 sqm cottages have an elegant two stories design, some of which are on the beachfront while the gorgeous 120 sqm Villas feature a living area on the ground and bedroom on the first floor.
ChildCare Families with children are welcome to stay at Sandoway Resort, however, there are no particular facilities available for children such as babysitting.
Dine There is an open-air restaurant at the Sandoway Resort with a veranda overlooking the sea serving traditional, Asian and Mediterranean cuisines but expect Italian cuisine. Meals are prepared with locally sourced ingredients with a focus on catch of the day. There is also a well-stocked bar serving a range of beers, wines and spirits. Chefs from throughout Europe are invited throughout the season to create imaginative and delicious dishes using locally sourced produce.
Relax Facilities at the Sandoway Resort include a 25-metre pool overlooking the beach and backed by a lovely garden studded with palm trees. A luxury spa, located in a secluded corner, offers an array of traditional treatments for some added pampering and relaxation. There is also a 58-seat movie theatre showing classic films, and even a piano bar in which to spend your evenings. Alternatively, you can chill out with a good book in the library with ocean-views.
Experience There is much to do at the Ngapali Beach from sea activities to exploring the surrounds. Guests can head out to the Pearl Island, a popular day trip destination for snorkelling, discover pristine reefs and walking along its pristine beaches. On land, visit Thandwe Market where local fishermen bring and sell their catch or shop for local textiles and food. Other activities include cycling, play golf on the rustic nine-hole course, visiting local villages, temples or an elephant camp.

Getting there 15-hour flight (via Bangkok) to Yangon. Sandoway Resort is a 45-minute flight from Yangon, followed by a 30-minute drive from Thandwe airport.
When to go The best time to visit Burma is during the dry season from November to April. At this time the warm and sunny days are ideal for sightseeing throughout the country. The temperatures start to rise in March and May to September is best avoided as this is the rainy season when sightseeing can become difficult.
