Stay Sule Shangri-La features 474 well-appointed rooms housed in a 22-storey building. All are furnished with dark wood furniture, plush double or twin-beds and modern ensuite bathrooms. Each room feature works by local artists, reflecting the progressive vibrant art scene in Yangon. Horizon Club Rooms offer an enhanced level of service, comfort and convenience. Room amenities include air-conditioning, LCD TVs come with satellite channels and free toiletries.
ChildCare Families with children are welcome to stay at the Sule Shangri-La but there are no specific facilities available for children.
Dine Culinary offers are diverse at Sule Shangri-La Yangon, with five different outlets. The newly renovated Café Sule showcases the finest in Asian, international and Myanmar cuisine whilst Summer Palace, their signature restaurant, specialises in Cantonese cuisine and dim sum. Experience Yangon is the largest city in Myanmar famed for its shimmering pagodas, British colonial architecture and modern high-rises. Located within walking distance of Sule Shangri-La is the historic Sule pagoda (on which the hotel is named). Later, browse through the nearby Bogyoke (Scott) market, then take a stroll through the People’s Park and around Kandawgyi Lake to Shwedagon Pagoda, the historic 99-m gold plated pagoda, the most famous in Myanmar.
Location Located on 223 Sule Pagoda Road, right in the central business district of Yangon. Nestled amidst the city's most popular cultural attractions and shopping precincts, and surrounded by lush tropical greenery and beautiful lakes, it is the perfect base.
Getting there 15-hour flight (one change) to Yangon. Sule Shangri-La is 45-minutes from the airport.
When to go The best time to visit Burma is during the dry season from November to April. At this time the warm and sunny days are ideal for sightseeing throughout the country. The temperatures start to rise in March, and May to September is best avoided as this is the rainy season when sightseeing can become difficult.
