Areindmar Hotel is a charming boutique hotel, set on the main Kayay Street in the New Bagan Area. Initially built to house the travelling guides, the hotel has been recently refurbished into a delightful property, offering a comfortable stay and good value. Set within a lush forest just south of the temples and within a 15-minute drive from Nyaung Oo Airport, this peaceful refuge makes for a perfect base from which to explore this ancient city.
Accommodation at the Areindmar Hotel comprises of just 50 rooms arranged on two levels around the central courtyard. All are individually decorated in traditional style with hardwood floors and hand-crafted furniture. Rooms are minimalist in décor and come with a sitting area, writing desk and modern amenities such as minibar, LCD television with satellite channels, and free Wi-Fi. Private bathrooms with showers feature complimentary toiletries and hair dryers.
There is an in-house restaurant serving a fusion of traditional, European, Thai and Chinese cuisines. Meals are served in the shaded open-air terrace next to the pool or you can request for room service. The courtyard pool is particularly inviting after a long day exploring or when you need a refreshing break from the midday heat, and there is a poolside bar to keep you hydrated. The hotel has complimentary bikes that you can use to explore the surrounds.

All of the rooms open onto either the leafy landscaped courtyard, lotus filled ponds or green lawn dotted with tropical plants. Amenities include air-con, satellite TV, in-room safe, Wi-Fi and tea/coffee facilities.
ChildCare Families with children are welcome to stay at the Areindmar Hotel but there are no specific facilities available for children. No additional room charge for children under (10) years of age sharing the same bed with parents and limited to one child per room with free breakfast. In case of a second child, an extra bed charge will be added on.
Dine Located near the lobby, the in-house restaurant at the Areindmar Hotel serves all meals overlooking the courtyard and pool. The seasonal menu comprises of local, European, Thai and Chinese cuisines and is prepared with fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Meals are served in the dining room or al fresco on the pool terrace, adjacent to the Poolside Bar which provides a perfect spot to watch the sunset over Bagan. There are also a number of restaurants within walking distance of the hotel.
Relax Facilities at the Areindmar Hotel include a lovely swimming pool surrounded with lush, tropical forest and lined with sun loungers. There is plenty of spaces in the hotel and its lawns to relax with a book. Alternatively, you can make use of the hotel’s complimentary bikes or take a horse-and-cart tour to explore Bagan’s twisting laneways lined with century-old temples.
Experience The ancient city of Bagan is known for its vast Archaeological Area, with a huge array of historical sites that date back to the 11th century. Areindmar Hotel can organise guided tours or you can make use of their pedal bikes and explore the surrounding pagodas. The cheapest and one of the most popular options for getting around Bagan is e-Bike. One day, visit the colourful and vibrant local market, selling all kinds of vegetable produce, handmade cloth and daily use items.

How to get there A 14-hour flight to Yangon via Bangkok followed by an internal 30-minute flight to Nyaung Oo Airport in Bagan. Areindmar Hotel is just 15-minutes drive from the airport.
