Banyan Tree Ringha – Tibetan-Inspired Resort in China

Banyan Tree Ringha, is set in an utopian world of Shangri-la, a remote paradise offering awe-inspiring views and experiences within a tranquil retreat. Few foreigners have been lucky to set foot on Tibetan soil and realise the breath-taking scenery of the Himalayas. Now at the Banyan Tree at Ringha you can wake up in the morning to the sounds of yak bells and watch the morning sunlight lap over the mountains. This is a paradise where you would like to live.

Accommodation in Banyan Tree Ringha is in traditional Tibetan farmhouses, which have been reassembled along the valley. The seductive rich-red décor, detailed carvings and unique local artefacts catches your eye.  The local touch remains, with traditional latticed windows and Tibetan-style quilted curtains. A private fireplace keeps the farmhouse warm and wooden balconies provide sweeping views of the Shu Du Gang River or the snow-capped Hengduan Shan mountains.

Outside, a culture of flowering azaleas and rhododendrons transform spring meadows into a vast sea of colour. Summer sees everything in the freshest of greens, while autumn hues turn the forests into a canvas of flaming reds and orange. Banyan Tree Ringha offers 4-wheel drive tours to remote lakes and villages, as well as relaxed nature walks and short treks.

All lodges are traditional Tibetan farmhouses with intricate woodcarvings, fireplaces and wooden balconies with valley or river views.  The rooms are all on two floors.
