Banyan Tree Yangshuo is a world class luxury resort, located just outside of Yangshuo in Guilin, Southern China. There is also the Lobby Lounge and Pool Bar that offer a variety of light bites.
There's no shortage of outdoor activities on offer at Banyan Tree Yangshuo. The highlight of course is to marvel at the stunning scenery and ancient villages. Guests can explore the surrounds on a bicycle or foot or take the hotel’s private bamboo-raft ride on the Li River through the beautiful Karst scenery. One day visit the nearby Fuli, hometown of painted paper fans and home to a number of prominent artists who are no doubt inspired by the surrounding landscapes.
Stay Banyan Tree Resort Yangshuo features 142 suites and villas. Each are built and designed in oriental-style, with latticed windows, dark wood features, classic Chinese furnishings and earth-toned interiors. Every elegant room also affords stunning panoramas of the Karst Mountains and surrounding lakes from your own private terrace or balcony. Inside, the décor is opulent; king-sized bed, oversized bathroom and tub and all of the mod-cons you could reasonably expect.
ChildCare Families with children are welcome to stay at Banyan Tree Yangshuo but there are no specific facilities available for children. Babysitting service can be arranged, upon request.
Dine There are two main restaurants at Banyan Tree Yangshuo offering creative Chinese and western cuisine in pleasant and comfortable surroundings. Ming Yue restaurant serves a mix of light bites and delicious local specialties throughout the day, whilst Bali Yun, is a fine-dining restaurant offering a menu of delicious Guangxi and Canton specialties with six private dining suites. There is also a Pool Bar and Lobby Lounge or you can opt for private dining on a bamboo raft on the Li River.
Relax Set amid beautiful surroundings, the Spa at Banyan Tree Yangshuo offers time-honoured Asian healing therapies, using pure essential oils made from natural ingredients that have been passed down through the generations. There is also a stunning outdoor pool overlooking the Li River, as well as a large yoga studio and fully equipped gym.
Experience There are numerous activities on offer at Banyan Tree Yangshuo but the signature experience is the bamboo-raft ride on the Li River along the route known as the ‘diamond waterway’. The nearby city of Yangshuo is worth a visit, particularly at night, to experience its impressive new city centre, complete with a network of European-style canals. Not-to-be-missed is the spectacular Yangshuo Light Show, on the Li River that showcases the area's unique karst landscapes.

Getting there The nearest airport to the resort is Guilin Liang Jiang International situated 110km away. The resort is best reached by car and the journey will take approximately 1.5 hours.
When to go The best time to visit Guilin is between October and December. March to May is also a good time to visit, but there are occasional showers. January and February is generally damp and drizzly, whilst in June to September is it hot and humid with possible heavy rains.
