The SLATE is a hip, beach resort, located on Nat Yang Beach, on the northwest coast of Phuket. Situated near the Sirinath National Park, it enjoys one of the quietest spots on the island. There are 177 suites including self-standing villas, all of which are united by the design work of Bill Bensley, one of South East Asia’s leading resort architects. Six dining options offer a range of world cuisines, three magnificent pools have different vibes and a luxurious spa offers a range of Asian therapies.
Amenities
Stay The SLATE features a total of 177 suites. These are grouped in five different categories, ranging from spacious Premium Pearl Suites, with high ceilings, small gardens and outdoor tubs, to impressive one- and two-bedroom villas complete with butlers, private spa chambers, and swimming pools. Living and sleeping areas are split between two pavilions, linked by dark timber decking dotted with exotic blooms and frangipani trees. Amenities include coffee and tea making facilities, TVs and Wi-fi.
ChildCare Families with children are welcome to stay at The SLATE, and there are a number of family-friend accommodation options. Other facilities include highchairs, kid’s menu and baby cots. Babysitting service can be arranged, upon request.
Dine The SLATE offers a wide array of on-site bars and restaurants, each of which are architectural marvels that seem to be floating on a lagoon. The Black Ginger is a high-end Thai offering that pairs fishermen-fresh seafood with ingredients sourced from the resort’s organic garden. Rivet & Rebar is a modern grill serving Black Angus beef and local fish; Tin Mine serves Thai street food like deep-fried soft-shell crab; and the Tongkah Tin Syndicate is a snooker hall and bar.
Relax There are two dramatic adults-only infinity pools overlooking the manicured grounds and one family-friendly lagoon pool with different waterfalls and other features for the children interact with. The SLATE also has a Coqoon Spa featuring eight treatment rooms-for-two, including the spectacular woven Nest suspended in an age-old banyan tree.
Experience The SLATE offers a number of complimentary watersports activities such as kayaking, windsurfing and stand-up paddle boarding at a small charge. Play a game of tennis or take an exhilarating biking trip and venture out to scenic routes around the island. For those wanting to explore deeper waters, the resort has its own dive centre offering ‘try diving’ session at the resort’s family pool as well as diving for experienced divers. Alternatively, visit local temples and explore local markets.
