Paresa is a privately owned, luxury resort, set on the western shores of Phuket island, southern Thailand. Built high into the cliff side of Kamala with sweeping views across the Andaman Sea, houses just 49 modern open plan luxurious suites and villas. All are luxuriously spacious with one to four bedrooms and come with private plunge pools. There are two dining options and a bar, serving Italian and Thai cuisines, a luxurious spa and a range of watersports including a private yacht.
Amenities
Stay Paresa resort features just 49 suites and villas, all with seductive sunset sea views. These range from one-bedroom suites to four-bedroom villas, with airy open-plan teak-floored living areas leading on to private balconies or terraces. All are luxuriously large, decorated in a simple but stylish palette of cream and dark wood, with their own private infinity pool or plunge pool. Each room features a super king size bed, Wi-Fi access, bar, espresso machine, LCD TV, DVD player and an iPod station.
ChildCare Families with children below 12 years old are not encouraged, due to the resort being set on the cliff side and there being sheer drops from the infinity pools.
Dine There are two restaurants at the Paresa. The sleek wood-lined Diavolo Restaurant serves a generous à la carte breakfast followed by Italian and Mediterranean dishes. The alfresco Talung Thai, Paresa's signature restaurant set atop the cliffs, serves authentic Thai dishes in a wonderfully intimate private dining room that hosts traditional Thai cooking classes and private dinner parties. Diavolo Bar serves drinks at the dramatic Infinity Pool Bar, the perfect spot for a sundowner.
Relax Facilities at the Paresa resort include a spectacular infinity pool and an energy pool powered by a giant rose quartz stone. For ultimate relaxation, there a cossetting spa offering traditional treatments inspired by the island’s natural sources including seaweed wraps, coconut oil massages and green tea foot baths. There is also a library, Fitness Centre, Thai Cooking School, a Boutique and a complimentary shuttle to Kamala.
Experience Phuket is mountainous island well-known for its beaches and Paresa can organise canoeing through cave-sheltered lagoons, snorkelling and fishing. Guests can also go trekking into the rainforest, visit remote temples or go on an island-hopping day trip into the Phang Nga's famous bay. Animals lovers can spend half a day elephant trekking in the lush island interior or you can top your stay off with a swish charter trip on the Paresa's yacht. The island also has three golf courses.
Location Paresa is a short 30 minute drive from Phuket International Airport and around a 10 minute drive from the small fishing village and beach in Kamala.
Getting there 11-hour international flight to Bangkok International Suvarnabhumi Airport, followed by a 1-hour domestic flight to Phuket International Airport. Paresa is approximately 30-minutes from Phuket airport.
When to go Tropical climate and the driest months to visit are December to March. November and April are also good months to visit and you may get some rain, although it is outside of the monsoon season. May to October is the monsoon with downpours occurring once or twice a day, rather than constant rain.
