Princess dAnnam Resort, Mui Ne, Vietnam luxury hotels - AwimAway.com

Princess d'Annam Resort is set in front of an almost empty Ke Ga beach – except for a few fishermen – and it’s glorious at both dusk and dawn. Chances are you will be completely alone on the beach and the dunes over-looking the next bay! Designed by award-winning architect Tan Hock Beng, this retreat is home to exclusive villas, four swimming pools, two epicurean restaurants and an award-winning spa.

The neo-colonial style villas are screened by tall, leafy species of heliconia with fragrant yellow or red flowers. Here chic French luxury meets traditional Vietnamese hospitality to create an idyllic haven of calm and luxury. The two fine dining restaurants at the Princess d'Annam Resort, specialise in French gastronomy, Asian and continental dishes to meet the likes of every palate.

The spacious spa offers made-to-order royal spa treatments or a game of golf at the Princess d'Annam Resort’s Sea Link Golf Club. The surrounds are rural, Phan Thiet the nearest town is 48 km but it is what we loved. During the day, walk up to the nearby fishing town and watch fishermen bring in their catch. Some of it possibly would go to the hotel and served for dinner. A number of water-sports activities include sea-kayaking, wind-surfing and kite surfing, and there are two first-class golf courses nearby.

Stay Princess d'Annam Resort & Spa has 57 spacious Villas, spread out throughout the resort. Rooms are well appointed with beautiful deep baths, rain showers and verandas opening onto small swimming pools. Some rooms have their own private pool. Decor was trendy but not over the top and absolutely luxurious. During the day, the daylight seeps through indirectly so that you're not in complete darkness with the drapes closed. The rear deck offers a great view of the luscious gardens with large sliding glass doors so you feel like it's an extension of the room.

ChildCare Children are welcome to stay at the Princess d'Annam Resort & Spa. However, there are no specific facilities available. Babysitting service can be arranged, if requested.

Dine Dining options at the Princess d'Annam Resort & Spa include two fine dining restaurants. Terrace is located by the pool with beach views is the main restaurant. Breakfast had a great choice and was served up till the weekend when it went buffet style. The nightly diners have varied Vietnamese selection. If what you liked was not on the menu, the chef would create a dish for you. The Lounge serves quality wine and a selection of cocktails.

Relax Guests can also enjoy four swimming pools, and a fabulous spa, all set in Princess d'Annam Resort’s unique Ginger gardens with a collection of rare plants and sea views. The pool located between the suites and the restaurant is a beautiful curvy pool that is quite large. The infinity pool outside the restaurant and off the beach was spectacular. The private beach is small, but not crowded and plenty of little private areas to enjoy the solitude.

Experience One of Mui Ne’s most famous attractions, the immense Sand Dunes stretch to the horizon in white, gold and red. You’ll be forgiven for thinking you are in the Sahara rather than a coastal resort in Vietnam after spending the day exploring this impressive natural wonder. Bau Trang, otherwise known as Lotus Lake, is an oasis within these dunes.

Location Princess d'Annam Resort & Spa in South Vietnam, is a luxury beach resort, in the heart of Ke Ga Bay in Mui Ne.

Getting There There is no airport in Mui Ne or Phan Thiet. The closest international airport to Mui Ne is Saigon or Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) airport. The easiest way to Mui Ne is by car that takes about 4 hours. The easiest way to get around Mui Ne or Phan Thiet is by hired motorbike. Some hotels provide bicycles free or for rent.

When to go The best time to visit Vietnam is from November to March, when it is warm and dry in the South but begins to get cooler as you travel north of Nha Trang. From April or May to October, summer monsoon brings hot, humid weather except in the mountains up north. A slight break in monsoon during July and August makes it the second-high season in the South but unpredictable typhoons can hit central and northern Vietnam. May, June and September are usually the quietest months.
