Poulo Condor: Luxury Island Retreat in Vietnam

Poulo Condor Boutique Resort & Spa is set on the remote Can Son Island off the south-east coast of Vietnam. In the early 18th-century, the Con Dao Islands were known by the name Poulo Condor. Today this luxury resort has taken its name and strives to revive its old grandeur. Located on an immaculate stretch of picturesque white-sand beach with its back to the Lo Voi Mountain, it is the perfect place to find peace, relaxation, and comfort.

Travellers reach this unique Poulo Condor destination by a one-hour flight from Ho Chi Minh City. Most find it hard to realise how Con Son, the main (and only inhabited) island on the Con Dao archipelago, has withstood the passing of time. The resort has Suites and Villas with high ceilings, airy and spacious rooms with private terraces, large bathrooms and views to the gardens, mountains or sea.

There is one main restaurant Poulo Condor Resort, which offers light meals in the mornings and traditional Vietnamese and French cuisine in the evenings. During the day, the Pool Bar offers refreshments, cocktails and light meals. The large main pool is centrally located and a tranquil spa faces the resort's natural spring. A few steps away is the white-sandy beach, splashed gently by the South China Sea.

Location Poulo Condor Boutique Resort & Spa is set on the remote Can Son Island off the south-east coast of Vietnam.

Getting There Take an international flight to Ho Chi Minh City. From here there direct scheduled 45-minute flights to Con Son, the main, and only inhabited island on the Con Dao archipelago.

When to go The best time to visit Vietnam is from November to March, when it is warm and dry in the South but begins to get cooler as you travel north of Nha Trang. From April or May to October, summer monsoon brings hot, humid weather except in the mountains up north. A slight break in monsoon during July and August makes it the second-high season in the South but unpredictable typhoons can hit central and northern Vietnam. May, June and September are usually the quietest months.
