All are designed in contemporary Thai style, complete with large balconies with extensive use of hardwoods, silks and other indigenous materials. Rooms are furnished with either king size beds or twin beds, polished hard woods and sumptuous silks with plenty of space to relax, while luxurious bathrooms come with a bathtub and shower.

ChildCare Children are not permitted to stay at Layana Resort. The property is designed for adults and will recommend Pimalai Resort as an alternative for families travelling with children.

Dine Set on the edge of the long beach, Layana Resort has a Tides Restaurant with grand views over the sea. The menu is varied offering freshly prepared classic Thai dishes and superb international cuisines. The well-stocked Sundowners Bar has a selection of fine wines and a happy hour each evening. Although the dress code is casual, no shorts, bathing suits and sleeveless shirts are allowed. For a change of taste, you can wander around to the nearby local beachfront restaurants.

Relax Facilities at the Layana Resort & Spa include a beautiful infinity edge swimming pool, complete with large Jacuzzi. Discreetly tucked away within a walled garden is the Linger Longer Spa with six treatment rooms, Salt Spa and Wellness Zone with salt-water, half Olympic-sized pool, yoga platform, high-tech gym and juice bar.

Experience Koh Lanta is a small island in southern Thailand, with beautiful uncrowded beaches, historic towns, waterfalls, and jungles. Layana Resort can organise Watersports, snorkelling, boat and kayak trips as well as the popular sundowner cruise which passes through mangrove forests with a variety of wildlife. Manta rays, whale sharks, turtles and clown fish can all be seen at dive sites that are within easy reach of Lanta. On land you can trek on foot or by elephant, cycle and visit local markets.

Location Layana is located on the larger island of Koh Lanta in the south of the Krabi province. The island is still quite small at 22kms long and 6kms wide, it is heavily forested with a variety of wildlife.

Getting there 11-hour international flight to Bangkok International Suvarnabhumi Airport, followed by a 1-hour domestic flight to Krabi Airport. During high season (November to April) it is a 1-hour drive followed by a 20-minute boat trip to the resort. During low season (May to October) it is an approximate 2-hour 30-minute transfer by road.

When to go Tropical climate and the driest months to visit are December to March. November and April are also good months to visit and you may get some rain, although it is outside of the monsoon season. May to October is the monsoon with downpours occurring once or twice a day, rather than constant rain.
