Six Senses Yao Noi – Island Escape in Thailand

Six Senses Yao Noi is a luxurious, sensuous retreat, set on a small island in Phang Nga Bay, in southern Thailand. Set across the hillside in Koh Yao Noi, the resorts 56 thatched-roof villas gaze out over the magnificent turquoise waters and limestone karsts of Phang Nga Bay, between Phuket and Krabi. Dining options include the dramatic Dining Room with a glass-bottomed floor, suspended over a small stream while Spa Sala offers holistic wellness through a range of therapeutic menus.

Stay Six Senses Yao Noi has 56 thatched-roof villas with private pools and serviced by their own private butler. All are very spacious and similar in style but each has a different perspective. Hideaway Villas (1,660 sqm) have a true jungle outlook, but those wanting more space and panoramic sea views can opt for the Ocean and Beachfront Villas (2,450 sqm). Interiors are decorated with natural wood, bamboo and fresh white linens and include shady day beds and outdoor rain showers.

ChildCare Families with children are welcome to stay at the Six Senses Yao Noi but there are no specific facilities available for children. Babysitting service can be arranged, upon request.

Dine Guests at the Six Senses Yao Noi have a choice of multiple dining experiences from Mediterranean cuisine to Thai and Tandoori. The most dramatic restaurant is the Dining Room with a glass-bottomed floor, suspended over a small stream next to a waterfall. There is also a restaurant close to the beach, arranged to take in that world-famous view but for something a little special you can opt for a champagne breakfast at your villa or a private barbecue under the stars.

Relax The Six Senses Yao Noi’s main pool at the hilltop reserve offers the most spectacular views over Phang Nga Bay. Lined with daybeds it is the best place to relax with a drink. Other facilities revolve around the opulent Six Senses Spa, promising holistic wellness programme; T'ai chi on a talcum-white beach; yoga at sunrise in a pavilion built into a rainforest then kayaking and windsurfing in the Andaman Sea. There is also a library, a fully-equipped gym, and a tennis court.

Experience Six Senses Yao Noi offers all guests bicycles on a complimentary basis or you can take a traditional long-boat out to explore the Phang Nga Bay islands. One of the islets, Khao Phing Kan, is known as the James Bond Island, which is featured in the film ‘The Man with the Golden Gun’. Other activities include Thai cookery classes, wine tasting, non-motorised and motorised water sports, boat and bicycle tours, diving, fishing trips and rock climbing.
