Stay

Como Metropolitan Bangkok features just 169 guestrooms. All rooms are intentionally understated, with soothing white walls, light dichromatic artworks and Cherrywood furnishings. City Rooms and Studios are on the small side but Metropolitan Rooms are airy and spacious with large colossal limestone-clad bathrooms. The Terrace Rooms have the addition of private patio with outdoor shower but those seeking more space can book the enormous duplex Penthouse Suites.

ChildCare

Families with children are welcome to stay at the Como Metropolitan Bangkok but there are no specific facilities available for children. Under-12s stay for free in their parents’ rooms. Cots are available and babysitting service can be arranged, upon request.

Dine

Keeping with the COMO Shambhala’s ethos of an Urban Escape, Glow the first-floor organic café, which serves fresh and tasty Asian-inspired meals using locally sourced, organic ingredients and energizing fruit and vegetable juices packed with vitamins and minerals. The sophisticated Met Bar is where the city’s socialites come to lounge and mingle. However, the star of the dining show is Nahm, an award-wining restaurant famed for its authentic Thai food.

Relax

There is a 20-metre outdoor lap pool, lined with sun loungers ideal for an afternoon relaxation. For ultimate relaxation indulge in the gorgeous COMO Shambhala Urban Escape Spa with Asian-inspired, holistic therapies including Thai massage, reflexology, body scrubs and steam rooms. Work out in the state-of-the-art gym or unwind with a complimentary yoga and meditation session. Personal trainers and private yoga tuition can also be arranged.

Experience

The Metropolitan Bangkok is ideally located near most of city’s highlights. Lying to its west is the Grand Palace, which houses the famous Wat Phra Kaew (Temple of the Emerald Buddha) while across the Chao Phraya River is Wat Arun, the most important in Bangkok. One day, experience local cultures at the Chatuchak Weekend Market, where a chaotic maze of stalls include hill tribe crafts and antiques, and the Amphawa Floating Market where dozens of food stalls line up the riverbanks.
