SALA Samui Choengmon, Koh Samui

Sala Samui is a luxury boutique hotel, set in a secluded northwest corner of Koh Samui island, southern Thailand. Located on the pristine white sands of Choeng Mon beach, it comprises of 69 rooms and villas with high gabled roofs in contemporary and minimalist Thai-style. The first-floor rooms enjoy balconies with comfortable sofa seating, while the large ground floor rooms offer an abundance of stunning private space with swimming pool and high walls to ensure privacy.

The two restaurants at the Sala Samui offer a range of International, Mediterranean and authentic Thai cuisines, served indoors and on the beachfront. For relaxation there are two stylish beachfront swimming pools and a Sala Spa where guests can indulge in a variety of treatments. In the surrounds is the Ang Thong National Marine Park home to a rich variety of exotic wildlife and an exotic sea life. Other activities include diving and snorkelling, windsurfing and trekking to nearby waterfalls.

Stay 

Sala Samui has 69 private villas, including 53 with swimming pools. Deluxe Balcony Rooms on the second floor have large balconies with full size daybed and garden views. Downstairs, the Garden Pool Villas are twice the size and have pretty private gardens with pool. Equally spacious Sala Pool Villas have lush walled garden, an outdoor daybed and sun loungers. The one and two-bedroom Pool Villa Suites have the addition of a spacious living room. Complimentary Wi-Fi is available throughout.

ChildCare 

Families with children are welcome to stay at the Sala Samui but there are no specific facilities available for children. Please note: the bed for the 3rd/4th guest sharing is likely to be a sofa bed or camp style bed. Babysitting is available on request.

Dine 

Guests can sample an amazing range of cuisines at Sala Samui’s two fine restaurants. The SALA Samui Restaurant on the beach, primarily focuses on authentic Thai cuisine while the Pangaea Restaurant serves a choice of Mediterranean flavours. There is also a trendy beach bar that serves a range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in a beautiful, romantic setting and the SALA Samui wine cellar with regular tastings of some fine wines.

Relax 

There’s a 25-metre black pool for adults and a shorter white pool for families. Guests who like relaxation and pamper, can head to the Sala Samui Spa which has four plain treatment rooms, two steamrooms and a room dedicated to manicures and pedicures. Kayaks and stand-up paddle boards are free of charge, as are yoga sessions and Thai language lessons. There is also a well-equipped two-storey gym and a library.

Experience 

Koh Samui is an island to be explored and Sala Samui can arrange day excursions to the Ang Thong National Marine Park, Na Muang Waterfall and Koh Tao, the scuba diving destination of choice in Thailand. Other activities include snorkelling and elephant trekking. Island tours are a great way to see the surrounding areas, go trekking in the neighbouring Koh Phangan island. Back at the hotel, there is a white sandy beach perfect for relaxing and there are also golf courses nearby.

Location Located on pristine Choeng Mon beach on the northeast corner of Koh Samui island, Sala Samui is just 20-minutes from Bo Phut's quaint Fisherman's Village, and 15-minutes from Chaweng Beach shopping.

Getting there 11-hour international flight to Bangkok International Suvarnabhumi Airport, followed by a 1-hour domestic flight to Koh Samui International Airport. Sala Samui is just 15-minutes from the Samui airport.

When to go Koh Samui has a tropical climate and the best time to visit is from February to September, which is relatively dry but there is some rain every month. February to April are the driest months. October to January are wet with the monsoon coming from the northeast across the Gulf of Thailand.
