Embark on a day dedicated to uncovering the historical and cultural treasures of Dushanbe. Post-breakfast, you'll visit notable sites including the Antiquities Museum, home to Central Asia's tallest Buddha statue, and the Gurminj Museum of Musical Instruments, capturing the essence of Tajik musical heritage. After breakfast, the journey continues towards Qal'ai Khumb, with a scenic drive via Kulyab. This historic city, nestled 3937 feet above sea level, offers a perfect lunch stop to break the journey. Continue the 230-mile drive, arriving in Qal'ai Khumb to check into a local hotel where a Tajik dinner awaits. This evening is yours to relax and acclimate to the new surroundings, gearing up for the adventures that lie ahead in the Pamir Mountains.
Today's journey takes you 161 miles towards Khorog, passing through the traditional village of Rushan. Here, you'll experience Tajik culture at its most authentic with lunch at a road-restaurant. Arriving in Khorog, a town cradled by towering peaks and deep canyons, you'll feel the isolation and beauty of this region. Settle into a guesthouse for the night, on the brink of trekking through the UNESCO-protected Pamir Mountains, known for their breathtaking landscapes and ecological diversity.
The trek begins with a departure from Khorog through the stunning Gunt canyon towards Bachor village. Perched at 10,400 feet, the village offers a warm welcome and a chance to acclimate to the high altitude. A leisurely walk through Bachor reveals traditional Pamiri architecture and a closer look at life in the highlands. The day closes with dinner and an overnight stay in a guesthouse, marking the start of your trekking adventure.
Awake amidst the alpine beauty of Bachor village, fuel up with breakfast, and set out towards Kavch Spring. The day’s trek navigates through dramatic rock formations and breathtaking natural beauty, culminating at 11,811 feet. After a fulfilling trek of five to six hours, relax with a home-cooked dinner by the campfire and spend the night in the comfort of a tent, under the stars, immersed in the tranquillity of Tajikistan’s mountainous landscape.

Here, the blend of serene lake waters against a backdrop of rugged peaks offers a surreal dining experience. Your destination, Zaroshkkul Lake, awaits after a four- to five-hour journey, nestled within the Pamirs at 14,822 feet. The quest for the Pamir's alpine treasures continues with a trek to Kulen Lake, known for its pure, reflective waters set at 14,107 feet. The day’s journey, filled with breathtaking vistas, culminates in a serene escape by the lake’s edge. A Tajik-style dinner by this tranquil haven marks another memorable evening, as you camp in the peaceful embrace of nature.
Begin with a serene breakfast overlooking Kulen Lake before venturing to Zaurbek pasture, a vibrant, life-filled locale amidst the high Pamirs. The day's trek, spanning seven hours, leads to Yechkul Lake, a secluded oasis framed by rugged terrain. Dine and spend the night by the lake, immersed in the quietude of its rocky embrace.
Greet the dawn and set off on a five-hour trek towards the Langar pass, exploring the rocky slopes along the way. Your effort is rewarded with the ascent to Chapdarkul Lake, the tour's highest point at 14,858 feet. The evening unfolds with a meal against the backdrop of a fading sun, followed by a restful night at the camp, perched high above the world.
The trek begins its descent towards Bachor pasture, offering a slight reprieve at 13,123 feet. Traverse the passes near Langar, boasting spectacular views and unique geological formations.
