DAY 3

Punakha

Drive to Punakha via the scenic Dochula Pass where 108 white chortens frame the eastern Himalayas. The road descends into a lush valley with rice fields, citrus trees and blooming flowers. In Punakha visit the stunning Punakha Dzong, one of Bhutan’s most beautiful fortresses, situated at the confluence of two rivers. Walk through nearby villages and light a butter lamp in a local temple for blessings. In the afternoon relax at your luxury hotel in the valley’s farmland, with views of the Mo Chhu River and surrounding forested hills.

DAY 4

Punakha

Spend another day in Punakha’s peaceful and cultural heart. Start with a gentle walk through farmland and forest paths to Khamsum Yulley Namgyal Chorten, a temple with stunning views of the valley. Visit a Buddhist nunnery to experience the quiet life of the resident nuns. Back to Punakha Dzong to see its beautiful murals, intricate woodwork and riverside location. Optional activities include walking across the longest suspension bridge in Bhutan or visiting a local farmhouse. Dinner back at your retreat where nature’s tranquillity surrounds you and the scent of pine trees fills the air.

DAY 5

Paro

DAY 6

Paro

Today is Tiger’s Nest Monastery day. Start your hike in the cool morning, ascending slowly through pine forests and fluttering prayer flags. The trail has rest stops and a viewpoint with great photos of the cliffside monastery. At the top take your time to explore the shrines and soak in the spiritual atmosphere. Back to your hotel for lunch and rest. Spend your afternoon shopping for local crafts, revisiting favourite sites or simply unwinding in nature. End your day with a farewell dinner.

DAY 7

Kathmandu

Fly to Kathmandu, the bustling capital of Nepal. On arrival, your private guide will meet you and transfer you to your hotel. Start exploring the city with a walk through its old quarters with temples, shrines and markets. Visit Durbar Square with the royal palaces and courtyards, then Boudhanath Stupa, one of the world’s largest Buddhist stupas. At Swayambhunath, enjoy sunset views from the hilltop. End the day with Pashupatinath, Nepal’s most sacred Hindu temple where you may see open-air cremations and ancient rituals along the Bagmati River.

DAY 8

Kathmandu

More of Kathmandu with a visit to its cultural and spiritual landmarks. Tour Patan’s Durbar Square with its fine temples and the Patan Museum. Visit artisan studios for wood carvings, metal statues and thangka paintings. In the afternoon, stroll through Asan Market to experience daily life and local flavours. If you wish, take an optional scenic flight for close views of Mount Everest and other Himalayan peaks. Alternatively, have a Nepalese cooking class or spend time at the peaceful Garden of Dreams. Your guide can tailor the day to your interests and pace.

DAY 9

Kathmandu Valley

Head out of Kathmandu to the historic cities of Bhaktapur and Patan. In Bhaktapur, walk through brick-paved lanes with temples, royal squares and local pottery markets. Visit the 55-Window Palace and the Nyatapola Temple, one of Nepal’s tallest. In Patan, visit traditional artisan workshops and the beautiful Krishna Mandir temple. Explore the Patan Museum’s excellent exhibits on Nepalese art. Try famous local treats like Bhaktapur’s creamy “king yogurt” (juju dhau). This day gives you a deeper understanding of Newari architecture, lifestyle and craftsmanship that has shaped the Kathmandu Valley for centuries.

DAY 10

Lhasa

Fly from Kathmandu to Lhasa, the capital of Tibet and one of the world’s highest cities. On arrival, transfer to your hotel and take time to rest and acclimatise. Start your Lhasa discovery with a guided walk along Barkhor Street where pilgrims circle the sacred Jokhang Temple, spinning prayer wheels and chanting mantras. Visit the temple itself, a key centre of Tibetan Buddhism. Later, see the Potala Palace from outside and admire its layered structure against the sky. Check into your hotel and enjoy a quiet evening as you begin to absorb the spiritual atmosphere of this amazing city.

DAY 11

Lhasa

More of Lhasa’s historic and spiritual treasures. Return to the Potala Palace, once the winter home of the Dalai Lama. Climb its many steps to see grand halls, golden stupas and wall paintings that tell Tibet’s Buddhist story. Visit Norbulingka, the Dalai Lama’s former summer palace, in peaceful gardens. Stop at Sera Monastery to watch monks debate Buddhist philosophy—a lively and fascinating ritual. End the day with a leisurely walk around the city or visit a traditional teahouse to try sweet butter tea and observe local life in this high-altitude capital.

DAY 12

Lhasa

On your last day in Tibet, drive to the Drak Yerpa caves, a sacred hillside retreat used by monks and hermits for meditation. The caves are filled with prayer flags and offer stunning views of the surrounding valleys. Enjoy a peaceful walk among the rock-cut sanctuaries and feel the calm energy of this deeply spiritual site. Return to Lhasa in the afternoon with time for last-minute shopping or a visit to a local art gallery. Celebrate the end of your Himalayan adventure with a special farewell dinner and reflect on the journey.

DAY 13

LHASA - DEPARTURE

After breakfast, transfer to Lhasa’s airport for your international flight. Your Himalayan journey comes to an end, leaving you with unforgettable memories of Bhutan’s peaceful valleys, Nepal’s cultural richness and Tibet’s spiritual depth. Whether it was the Tiger’s Nest, Boudhanath or Potala Palace, each place has given you a glimpse into the region’s deep traditions, kind people and extraordinary landscapes.

The story

From the cliffside Tiger's Nest in Bhutan to the ancient streets of Kathmandu and the sacred temples of Lhasa, this tour is a celebration of diversity and serenity.

Our vision was to offer more than just a journey; it's a path to self-discovery, inspired by the timeless wisdom and breathtaking landscapes of the Himalayas. The 13-day odyssey is not just a passage through lands but a journey into the heart of age-old traditions, designed to leave travellers with memories that resonate far beyond the trip.
