The Imperial
The Oberoi New Delhi
The Imperial is an elegant blend of Victorian, colonial and Art Deco style hotel, set right in the heart of New Delhi. Built in 1931 by Bromfield, a student of Edward Lutyens, the famed British architect, this hotel exudes luxury, elegance and hospitality reminiscent of the colonial era. Its marvellous mélange of Victorian, colonial, and Art Deco styles stands out even after more than seven decades and offers each guest the magic experience of capturing a piece of history.
New Delhi’s Oberoi hotel is a newly refurbished, luxurious hotel, set in South Delhi area, overlooking the verdant golf course. The hotel holds a dear place in my heart, as it does for many city natives. During my younger days, I frequent the Oberoi’s lobby with my friends as it was the epicentre for India’s glitterati and on special occasions eat at the famous Tabela restaurant. At the time, it was one of the fanciest hotel in India but then time caught up with the old Dame.
Discover New Delhi’s contemporary art scene with a guided tour of the city’s top galleries. Experience the diversity of Indian modern art which reflects the country’s rich cultural fabric. Later, go on a personalized shopping excursion tailored to your interests, from hidden market treasures to luxury malls. Conclude the day with visits to historical sites: Humayun’s Tomb, an architectural marvel and the first garden-tomb in India and Qutb Minar, the tallest brick minaret in the world. These sites will give you a glimpse into India’s Mughal heritage and architectural grandeur.
Meals Included: Breakfast
Fly to Khajuraho, a UNESCO World Heritage site famous for its ancient temples with intricate carvings. After a quick city tour, drive to Panna National Park (30 minutes) and check into your luxury hotel, either the Taj Pashan Garh or the Sarai at Toria. Get ready for an adventure in the wild. Nestled in the heart of nature, your stay at Panna offers the perfect blend of comfort and adventure against the backdrop of India’s diverse wildlife and landscapes.
Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Taj Pashan Garh
Sarai at Toria
Pashan Garh Lodge is located near Panna National Park in Madhya Pradesh. It forms part of the tiger reserve circuit created by andBeyond and the Taj group, joining other comfortable lodges in surrounding parks. The lodge, infused with local sandstone is furnished and block printed black silks and cotton lace chandeliers creates a contemporary look of local ‘Haveli’ or private mansion with a sense of sanctuary and coolness.
The Sarai at Toria is a small, charming safari lodge, set on the banks of the Ken River, just outside Panna Tiger Reserve. The property is owned and operated by Dr Raghu Chundawat and his wife Joanna Van Gruisen, who have visions for conservation and a passion for wildlife. Accordingly, they hired Eugene Pandala, an Indian architect known for his nature friendly design, who incorporated regional architecture and building style to build an eco-friendly lodge with a local character.
Continue your adventure in Panna National Park with a full day of wildlife exploration. Go on a safari and spot the elusive Indian tiger along with barking deer, sloth bears, antelope and the majestic nilgai. The park’s varied terrain from dense forests to open grasslands offers a unique opportunity to see these animals in their natural habitats, observing them as they roam freely in pristine surroundings. Keep your camera ready to capture the wildlife and the beauty of Panna.
Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
After breakfast, drive to Bandhavgarh National Park (3 hours), known for its high density of tigers—the highest density of Bengal tigers in the world. Bandhavgarh, along with Tadoba National Park, stands out as a top destination for tiger sightings in India. October is an ideal time to visit, as the end of the monsoon season brings drier foliage and increased animal activity, improving your chances of wildlife sightings. Check into your lodge in the heart of the wildlife sanctuary. Spend the day getting accustomed to the wilderness around you. Enjoy the lodge’s amenities and relax in the lap of nature, before the wildlife adventures in one of India’s most famous national parks.
Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Taj Mahua Kothi
Samode Safari Lodge
Mahua Kothi is a Taj Safari Lodge in Bandhavgarh National Park, a renowned tiger reserve. The name ‘Mahua Kothi’ draws its inspiration from one of India’s most beautiful trees, the Mahua tree with fleshy off–white flowers that play a central role in festivals and rituals. The Lodge sprawls over the 40-acre grounds, just 20 minutes from the park entrance. The original kothi (homestead) comprises the guest areas and has been beautifully renovated.
Samode Safari Lodge is an exclusive luxury property, set in the heart of tiger country, on the edge of Bandhavgarh National Park. Conceived and operated by the Samode family, the first to offer boutique heritage hotels in Jaipur, this unique lodge was inspired by their safaris in Africa. Keeping with the norm of environment protection, the Samodes decided to build with the lightest possible environmental footprint and yet provide ultimate luxury to their discerning travellers.
Get immersed in the wild beauty of Bandhavgarh National Park. Go on expert-led game drives or elephant treks to explore the dense forests. The park is a tiger haven, so keep an eye out for these majestic predators along with other wildlife like sambar deer, Indian wolf, hyena and the Indian bison. Bandhavgarh’s rich biodiversity will give you an unforgettable experience in the wild with awe-inspiring encounters and spotting rare animals in their natural habitat.
Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Today, explore the cultural heritage of Bandhavgarh with a visit to the ancient fort, believed to be over 2,000 years old. The fort will give you a glimpse into India’s history and spectacular views of the park from Climber’s Point. Also, visit the park’s museum to learn more about its ecology and wildlife. Your interaction with the jungle is not just about spotting animals but also understanding the historical and ecological significance of this incredible natural reserve.
Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Drive from Bandhavgarh to Kanha National Park (around 1 hour) and check into your lodge. Kanha is famed for conserving the rare barasingha (swamp deer), recognised by its impressive 12-tined antlers, and for protecting the Royal Bengal Tiger. It is celebrated as a conservation success story and is often described as the only place where the endangered swamp deer thrives in the wild. The park’s sal forests and grassy meadows also inspired Rudyard Kipling’s The Jungle Book. Begin with a birding safari to spot the park’s rich avian life, then enjoy an afternoon game drive seeking tigers, leopards, sloth bears, Indian wild dogs and giant squirrels.
Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Continue your Kanha adventure with another exciting day. Go on a morning game drive, a perfect time to see the wildlife in their natural surroundings. The park’s landscapes and ecosystems make every safari a new experience. After lunch, relax at your hotel. Enjoy the surroundings from the comfort of your tented suite or by the pool. Later, get ready for an evening game drive, the best time to spot nocturnal creatures and experience the jungle’s magic as the day turns to night.
Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Taj Banjaar Tola
Banjaar Tola Tented Camp is located in Kanha National Park, one of the finest tiger reserves. With less than 4,000 tigers in the wild, the race to see them before they vanish is ever increasing. But it's not uncommon for travellers, to be first offset by the 6-hour road journey from the nearest airport and then be pleasantly surprised by the tented camp's ample charm on their arrival. The wildlife resorts by the Taj offer unparalleled luxury in the middle of a scrub forest.
Your last day in Kanha National Park offers more wildlife encounters. Go on both morning and afternoon safari to maximize your chances of seeing the park’s wildlife, with spotting tigers as a highlight of the safari, along with leopards and various bird species. Each safari is a new experience and new sights, so your last day will be as exciting as the first.

Start your Mumbai adventure with an Art Deco architectural tour, discovering the city’s collection of Art Deco buildings, second only to Miami. Mumbai’s mix of traditional and modern architecture will fascinate you.
Meals Included: Breakfast
Taj Mahal Palace
The Oberoi Mumbai
Taj Mahal Palace is a historic landmark hotel, set in a prime location overlooking the Gateway of India monument and the Arabian Sea. Built in the early 20th-century, its original building displays a fusion of Moorish, Oriental and Florentine architectural styles. The extravagant interiors are adorned with Italian marble floors, Belgian chandeliers and 4,000 antique works of art. Opulent in style and regal in service, it has been the hotel of choice for royalty, heads of state and celebrities.

Located close to the National Centre for Performing Arts (NCPA) and in the heart of Nariman Point, Mumbai’s business district, it forms a great base from which to explore this vibrant city.
Immerse yourself in Mumbai’s cultural and artistic heritage. Visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Victoria Station and the bustling Crawford Market. Spend the afternoon exploring the city’s contemporary art galleries, showcasing the city’s art scene. A bespoke shopping trip with a local expert will help you find unique treasures and souvenirs. End your day in the upscale neighbourhoods of Malabar Hill and Marine Drive, watching the sunset from the promenade, the perfect ending to your Mumbai experience.

This tour is inspired by a desire to showcase the multifaceted nature of India, blending its rich cultural heritage, remarkable wildlife, and urban dynamism into a singular, compelling journey.
It is designed for travellers seeking a deep dive into India’s diverse tapestry of experiences, from exploring historic landmarks and vibrant markets in New Delhi to encountering majestic tigers in the wilderness of Panna, Bandhavgarh, and Kanha National Parks. Here, the raw beauty of India's untouched wilderness is on full display, offering pristine landscapes and rugged terrain that heighten the authenticity of every wildlife encounter. Conservation efforts in these parks play a crucial role in protecting native species and preserving biodiversity, ensuring memorable wildlife experiences for visitors.
The expedition offers a unique blend of cultural immersion, luxury amidst the wild, and urban exploration in Mumbai, making it interesting for enthusiasts of nature, culture, and wildlife. The tour is also committed to supporting the local community by providing employment opportunities and authentic cultural experiences, fostering sustainable and responsible tourism.
YOUR TRIP DESIGN, PACE & FLEXIBILITY: This India Wildlife Safari in Style itinerary is fully private and built around your preferred dates, pace and comfort level, focusing on premium wildlife lodges and well-paced safari time rather than rushing between too many parks. We will advise the best routing to balance drive times with meaningful time in each reserve, then refine the day-by-day with you. The programme can be tailored by adding extra safari drives in your preferred park, adjusting the mix of reserves, or building in a rest day to keep the experience relaxed. Seasonal conditions influence wildlife viewing, park closures and lodge availability, so we plan with practical buffers and sensible sequencing.
PRIVATE GUIDES, DRIVERS & ON-THE-GROUND SUPPORT: This is a high-end private journey with a dedicated vehicle and driver throughout, and specialist wildlife naturalists arranged for your game drives, with expert local guides in key cities where needed. We manage airport meet-and-greet, seamless lodge check-ins, and carefully timed departures for safaris, when early mornings and late afternoons are typically best for animal activity. Park permits, vehicle rules and wildlife movement can affect the day, so we keep the schedule flexible and re-sequence where needed to protect the best viewing. You will be supported throughout, with clear coordination between lodges, guides and transfers.
ACCOMMODATION STANDARDS & MEAL BASIS: We select premium, well-located safari lodges and high-comfort hotels to match your brief, prioritising service, privacy and proximity to park gates to maximise time on safari. Lodge stays are often fully inclusive (meals and scheduled game drives), while city nights typically include breakfast with flexibility for dining choices; your final itinerary will confirm what is included each day. Room category and upgrades should be confirmed early, especially in peak wildlife months when inventory tightens. Dietary needs are usually straightforward with advance notice, including at quality lodges, and we will plan ahead where options are more limited.
FLIGHTS, VISAS, HEALTH & TRAVEL INSURANCE: This itinerary typically combines private overland touring with internal flights where they materially reduce long transfer days, keeping the overall flow comfortable. International flights are optional: we can arrange the trip as land-only, or include flights as part of a flight-inclusive package under our ATOL (where applicable). Entry requirements depend on your passport; we will guide you on typical requirements and timing, while you remain responsible for meeting visa and entry rules. Activity levels are light-to-moderate, with early starts, bumpy safari tracks and some walking within lodges and viewpoints. Comprehensive travel insurance is essential, including medical cover and disruption.
COSTING, PAYMENTS, CHANGES & CANCELLATIONS: Tailor-made pricing is built from live supplier rates (premium lodges, private transport, flights and safari logistics), so availability and costs can change until services are secured. The main price drivers are seasonality, lodge category, limited-inventory rooms, and the number and type of safari activities. Some high-demand lodges require advance payments to secure space; we will confirm exactly what is due and by when before taking payment. Changes after booking can trigger supplier fees or fare differences, particularly for flights and peak-period lodge stays; we will explain the impact before actioning changes and provide clear documentation of deadlines and terms.
