Peshawar Serena Hotel

Peshawar Serena Hotel is a secure, well-established hotel in the city’s cantonment area, set in landscaped gardens overlooking Peshawar Golf Course and the historic Bala Hisar Fort. Traditional Islamic and regional design elements, including arches, courtyards and carved wood, give a sense of place, while greenery and fountains create calm away from busy streets.

Rooms and suites are comfortably furnished, with warm colours, local textiles and practical amenities such as Wi-Fi, air-conditioning and well-equipped bathrooms. Many look towards the golf course or gardens, so the hotel feels more like a self-contained enclave than a city high-rise. It works well for both short stopovers and longer stays.

Facilities include several restaurants and cafés serving Pakistani, Afghan and international dishes, plus a pool, fitness centre and small spa. Meeting rooms and event spaces support business travellers, while leisure guests value the combination of comfort, security and easy access to Peshawar’s markets and historic sights.

STAY

Rooms and suites at Peshawar Serena Hotel are comfortably set up for both business and leisure stays. Warm colours, local textiles and carved details give a regional feel, while Wi-Fi, air-conditioning, good beds and practical bathrooms keep things straightforward. Many rooms look towards the gardens or golf course, softening the sense of being in a busy city. It’s a reliable base if you are working in Peshawar or passing through on a wider Pakistan itinerary.

CHILDCARE

Families are generally well received here, although there is no formal kids’ club. Interconnecting rooms and larger suites can work for parents with children, and staff are usually happy to help with extra beds, early dinners and simpler dishes. The gardens and pool area give younger guests space to move around under supervision in a secure environment. For families wanting comfort and predictability in Peshawar, the hotel offers an easy, familiar structure to each day.

DINE

Dining at Peshawar Serena Hotel covers Pakistani, Afghan and international dishes across several outlets. You can sample kebabs, karahi and lentils, or choose lighter grills, salads and familiar Western options if preferred. Buffets appear at busy times, while à la carte menus keep things varied on quieter evenings. Breakfasts are generous, with fresh bread and eggs to order. For guests on longer stays, the choice of cafés and restaurants helps meals stay interesting without leaving the grounds.

RELAX

When you want a break from city traffic and markets, the hotel’s gardens, pool and shaded terraces provide welcome calm. Guests can sit with a drink overlooking the golf course, take a gentle swim or visit the small spa and fitness centre. Indoor lounges offer quieter corners to read, check messages or plan onward travel. The overall pace is unhurried, helping you reset between sightseeing, meetings or overland journeys elsewhere in Pakistan.

EXPERIENCE

Staying at Peshawar Serena Hotel gives an easy starting point for exploring this historic frontier city. From the hotel you can quickly reach Qissa Khwani Bazaar, the old city gates and museums, then return to a secure base overlooking Bala Hisar Fort and Peshawar Golf Course. The contrast between busy streets and the hotel’s quieter compound becomes part of the experience, especially for travellers combining Peshawar with trips towards the Khyber region or Swat Valley.

LOCATION
Peshawar Serena Hotel sits in the cantonment area, in secure, landscaped grounds overlooking Peshawar Golf Course and Bala Hisar Fort. You’re a short drive from Qissa Khwani Bazaar, the old city and museums, yet the hotel feels like a quiet enclave, away from the busiest streets and traffic.

GETTING THERE
The hotel is around 15–20 minutes’ drive from Bacha Khan International Airport, depending on traffic. Most travellers arrange a private transfer through their tour operator or the hotel. Peshawar is also reachable overland from Islamabad by main highway, typically taking three to four hours, subject to security and road conditions.

WHEN TO GO
Peshawar is best visited in the cooler months, roughly October to March, when days are pleasantly warm and evenings manageable. April and September can still be reasonable. Summers are very hot and dusty, with temperatures often exceeding 35–40°C, so tend to suit only well-prepared, heat-tolerant travellers.
