DAY 1

Riyadh

Start your adventure in Saudi Arabia’s capital, Riyadh, with a smooth arrival at King Khalid International Airport. You will be greeted with luxury as you are driven to your hotel in a private car and get settled in. Riyadh's vibrant mix of old and new is immediately apparent, with modern skyscrapers like the Kingdom Tower rising above the cityscape, contrasting with the historical charm of the old town. After lunch, head to Ad Diriyah Old Town to experience the historic heart of Saudi Arabia. Here you will feel the foundations of the Saudi state in every corner, especially in the UNESCO Heritage Site of At-Turaif, currently under renovation to preserve its historical significance. Wander through the town’s quarters and get lost in the beauty of mud-brick architecture with intricate patterns and wooden doors. Be sure to visit Murabba Palace, a significant historical landmark that offers insight into the royal heritage of Riyadh. Engage with local people through street-side demonstrations of traditional crafts like weaving and calligraphy, and enjoy authentic cultural exchanges. Visit Al Bujairi Heritage Park, just a stone’s throw from Ad Diriyah, a mix of leisure and culture with family attractions, food stalls and craft workshops. As the sun sets, witness the town’s history come alive through projection shows on the palace walls and get your first night in Riyadh a blend of heritage and modernity. Please note the dress code when visiting historical and cultural sites in Riyadh: modest clothing is recommended, including long shirts, long trousers, and a headscarf for women, to respect local customs and ensure comfortable access to all attractions.

DAY 2

Spend the day exploring history and culture with a visit to the National Museum of Riyadh where the kingdom’s past unfolds through an impressive array of artifacts and exhibits. Enjoy lunch of authentic Saudi cuisine before ascending the Kingdom Tower. From its high vantage point, take in the views of Riyadh, a city that blends its historical roots with modernity, setting the tone for the rest of your journey. DAY 3

Al Ula

Head northwest to Al Ula, Saudi Arabia’s ancient civilizations. As you journey toward Al Ula, you’ll traverse rocky plains and sweeping desert landscapes, with dramatic views of sand dunes and rugged terrain stretching to the horizon. Upon arrival, visit the Dadanite Kingdom at Dadan and see the Lion Tombs, ancient dwellings and wells dating back to the 6th century BC. Nearby Jabal Ikmah, known as the “open library”, has over 450 early Arabic inscriptions etched into its cliffs. This historic site was a caravan stop for travellers, whose messages are still preserved on the rock faces. The day’s adventures also include exploring Al Ula’s desert landscape, home to the iconic Elephant Rock, a natural wonder that looks like an elephant dipping its trunk into the sand. For those seeking more breathtaking scenery, consider a visit to Jebel Fihrayn, also called the 'Edge of the World.' Standing at the cliff edge here, you’ll witness the vast expanse of the surrounding desert—a truly awe-inspiring sight. End the day with a peaceful night in the desert.

DAY 4

Al Ula

Wake up to the beauty of Al Ula and take a leisurely walk along the Heritage Oasis Trail. This scenic path, lined with tall palms and mud-brick homes, allows you to enjoy the greenery and fresh-squeezed juices from local stalls. Experience Al Ula’s hospitality with a home-cooked meal at a local farm where you can also learn about the region’s agriculture. The afternoon is an adventure in a vintage Land Rover to Hegra (also known as Mada'in Saleh), an ancient Nabataean city and UNESCO Heritage Site. Recognized as the second-largest Nabataean city in the world, Mada'in Saleh is a major archaeological site of global significance. Explore this once thriving trade hub and marvel at its well-preserved tombs and sacred sites carved into sandstone. This comprehensive tour ensures you visit all the sites of historical importance in Al Ula. End the day with a visit to Harrat Awairth Mountain for breath-taking views of Al Ula’s old town and its surroundings, and feel like you’ve discovered something special.

DAY 5

Jeddah

Head to Jeddah, one of the major cities of Saudi Arabia and the gateway to Mecca, by the Red Sea. After checking into your hotel, explore Al Balad, Jeddah’s old town. This UNESCO listed area with its coral-stone buildings, narrow alleys and vibrant souqs, is a glimpse into a bygone era. Interactions with locals in Al Balad add to the vibrant atmosphere, as residents share stories and traditions, enriching your experience of the city. Visit restored landmarks like Nasseef House and see the architectural splendour of Jeddah’s oldest mosque. The smells of traditional bakeries, the taste of fresh bread and the buzz of coffee houses will immerse you in the city’s rich cultural fabric and give you a sense of its trading port heritage. Female travellers will find Jeddah welcoming, but should be mindful of local customs and dress modestly to ensure a comfortable and respectful visit.

A day of water adventure awaits as you set sail on the Red Sea, just off the coast of Jeddah near the Persian Gulf. Board a private boat for one of the memorable trips of the tour, featuring snorkelling and fishing, and discover underwater worlds at various coral reefs and a shipwreck site. The day's activities include a variety of destinations, each offering unique marine experiences. The clear waters reveal a rainbow of marine life, a peaceful escape from the city. Enjoy a seafood lunch onboard before returning to Jeddah’s corniche. This waterfront promenade is perfect for an evening stroll with piers, restaurants and sculptures. The highlight is seeing King Fahd’s Fountain, the symbol of Jeddah, as it shoots water into the air, a great backdrop for sunset views.
