Your India tiger safari journey begins in Mumbai, India’s energetic financial capital. Upon arrival at the international airport, you’ll be greeted by our local representative and transferred to your hotel. Mumbai is often called the city that never sleeps and is full of energy, history, and culture. Spend the rest of your day settling in and adjusting to the vibrant pace of this cosmopolitan metropolis. You may wish to take a short walk near your hotel or simply relax after your journey before the adventure begins tomorrow.

Today, explore the cultural and historical highlights of Mumbai with a local guide. Begin at the Prince of Wales Museum, filled with ancient artefacts and works of art. Enjoy a drive along Marine Drive, often called the Queen’s Necklace due to its sparkling lights at night. This morning, fly to Nagpur and continue by road to Pench National Park, nestled along the Pench River. Pench is a peaceful reserve known for inspiring Rudyard Kipling’s The Jungle Book. The park is rich in wildlife and home to Bengal tigers, leopards, and deer. Its forests of teak trees and pale white Kulu trees provide a beautiful setting. After checking in at your lodge, relax or take a short nature walk. Tomorrow begins your wildlife experience in one of India’s finest reserves.

Pench Jungle Camp or similar
Set out early on a thrilling morning safari through Pench’s wild landscapes. Your guide and tracker will help you search for tigers, wild dogs, and other animals active in the cool early hours. Return to your lodge for a relaxed lunch and some downtime. In the afternoon, head out again on safari to explore a different part of the park. You may spot sloth bears, deer grazing by the water, and birds circling above. The park’s quiet charm and variety of life make for an unforgettable day.

Pench Jungle Camp or similar
After breakfast, drive to Tadoba National Park—Maharashtra’s oldest and largest wildlife reserve. Covering 625 square kilometres, Tadoba is home to many Bengal tigers and diverse species of mammals, birds, and reptiles. The name “Tadoba” comes from the tribal god Taru, still worshipped by local communities. The park is covered in dry deciduous forest, with teak and bamboo trees. More than 140 plant species thrive here, creating ideal habitats for animals like sloth bears, leopards, wild dogs, gaur, and sambar deer. It’s also home to 195 bird species and reptiles including mugger crocodiles and Indian pythons.

Tadoba Jungle Camp
Today you’ll enjoy two safaris in one of India’s best tiger reserves. The morning drive takes you deep into tiger territory. Your guide will help you spot other wildlife, such as leopards, wild dogs, or the rarely seen rusty-spotted cat. In the afternoon, explore the Tadoba Lake area, where crocodiles bask and pythons may be seen along the banks. This water source also attracts many birds, making it perfect for birdwatchers. End the day back at your lodge, sharing stories over dinner and relaxing in comfort, surrounded by Tadoba’s wild sounds.

After breakfast, leave Tadoba behind and drive to Nagpur to catch your flight to Delhi. Upon arrival in India’s capital, a representative will transfer you to your hotel. Delhi is a city of contrasts—where ancient monuments stand beside modern buildings. The rest of the evening is free for you to relax or explore a bit of the neighbourhood around your hotel. Tomorrow, you will discover the historic and cultural treasures of Delhi.

Board the fast Gatimaan Express train to Agra, once the capital of the Mughal Empire. After arriving, visit Agra Fort, a massive red sandstone fortress with palaces, courtyards, and beautiful gardens. In the evening, you can choose an optional visit to Mehtab Bagh—a Mughal garden offering a peaceful sunset view of the Taj Mahal from across the river.

On the way, stop at Fatehpur Sikri, a perfectly preserved red sandstone city once home to Emperor Akbar. Walk through its grand gateways and deserted courtyards.
