Ki Niseko: Luxury Ski-in Ski-out Hotel in Japan

Ki Niseko is a boutique ski-in ski-out hotel set at the foot of Grand Hirafu ski and snowboard resort in Niseko, Hokkaido island. Designed by renowned Hokkaido architect Koichi Ishiguro, the Ki Niseko resort (‘Ki’ means ‘tree’ in Japanese) has an eco-friendly design theme which draws energy from natural onsen hot springs. There are 96 rooms and condo complexes, each are sophisticated and modern yet retain a lovely combination of both Alpine and Japanese charm. Rooms have been cleverly designed to maximise space, with the condos are equipped with kitchen facilities to create a homely space.

Dining options include An Dining and An Café & Bar, located on the ground floor of the hotel with both fine and casual dining available. For a true Japanese experience, bask in a hot spring onsen with mineral-rich water – a great way to unwind at the end of the day. The hotel also has a ski valet service where your equipment and boots are stored overnight (and dried and warmed). The hotel has a regular complimentary shuttle bus to town, with convenient stops at key locations.

Stay Ki Niseko hotel features 96 rooms and condo complexes. Each room is spacious (25 sqm), elegantly designed and can comfortably accommodate a child of 6 or under. For a homely sojourn, Ki Niseko's 1- and 2-bedroom condos come decked with kitchen, dining and lounge, laundry facilities, and entertainment systems, ideal for 2 to 5 guests. The Penthouse boasts 4 en-suite rooms and can accommodate up to 12 guests, including a room for children. All have Mt Yotei or a slope views.

ChildCare Families with children are welcome to stay at the Ki Niseko but there are no particular facilities for children. Babysitting can be arranged through the hotel's concierge, with hourly rates starting from 3,500 JPY for minimum 3 hours and bookings made at least 72 hours in advance.

Dine Ki Niseko’s in-house restaurant, An Dining is run by Chef Shinichi Maeda who spent 11 years in Australia. Now he serves proper kaiseki menu themed around sweet, bitter, salty, spicy and umami flavours. There is also a great An Café & Bar for lighter bites. Niseko also has a great restaurant scene; the 70-odd restaurants around here have their fine-dining joints, their food trucks and burgers, and Bombay Sizzlers – an authentic Indian dining in the heart of Hirafu.

Relax An on-site onsen provides a haven for relaxation after a day in the powder, with saunas and plunge pools. Exclusively for hotel guests, Ki Niseko has male and female onsens, plus two private family onsens which can be booked on arrival. The onsen are natural hot springs which provide the ultimate relaxation and help soothe aching muscles.

Experience The Niseko region boasts world-class ski resorts, golf courses, bike trails, cultural excursions and a host of other activities. In the last few years, Niseko has become an internationally acclaimed destination for winter sport enthusiasts thanks to the quality and consistency of powder snow, with average annual falls of 15 meters. Other activities include deep powder cat skiing, snowbiking, snowmobiling, rafting, kayaking and horse riding. In summer there is golf and cycling. 
 


 

Location Niseko is on Japan's northern island of Hokkaido and Ki Niseko is located at the foot of the slopes at Grand Hirafu Resort in Niseko.

Getting there Niseko Village is well served by the New Chitose Airport, the largest commercial airport in Hokkaido, operating a large number of both domestic and international flights on a daily basis. The average travelling time is 120 minutes and will vary depending on weather conditions.

When to go The main ski season runs from the end of November through to Easter. January - April sees the highest snowfall and the lowest temperatures will be felt in February when it can reach -7 degrees.
