Thahara Pindaya is a farm house, set on the outskirts of the Pindaya town, in Eastern Myanmar. Situated high above the town and surrounded with a beautiful farmland, it affords stunning views of the countryside and the Pone Taloke Lake. Housed within the two-storey brick structure are just five rooms – two rooms on the ground floor and three upstairs with a balcony – all immaculately clean and simply furnished. Thahara is ideally placed to explore the nearby Pindaya caves.

Location Thahara is located in the hills of Shan State, close to the small town of Pindaya. Shan State is towards the northeast of the country.

Getting there Approximately 13-hour indirect flight to Yangon or Mandalay, followed by a short domestic flight to Heho. It takes about an hour to drive from Heho to Pindaya by private transfer.

When to go The best time to visit Burma is during the dry season from November to April. At this time the warm and sunny days are ideal for sightseeing throughout the country. The temperatures start to rise in March and May to September is best avoided as this is the rainy season when sightseeing can become difficult.
