The Thiripyistaya Sanctuary Resort is situated on the banks of the legendry Irrawaddy. The bungalow-style rooms at Thiripyistaya Sanctuary Resort, come with either garden or river views. We recommend the deluxe river view rooms that have huge picture windows, which look out to the Irrawaddy River and a private veranda. Those looking for more space can book the spacious luxury suite. Location Thiripyitsaya Sanctuary resort in Bagan, is set astride the Irrawaddy river and on the edge of the archaeological zone. The resort boasts glorious sunsets with panoramic river views and dew-covered landscape gardens at sunrise. Driving from the airport you will see numerous important pagodas and monuments on the way to the resort.
Getting There Yangon airport has undergone a major renovation and facilitates both international and domestic terminals. Bagan Nyaung Oo airport is easily accessible by air from Yangon. Thiripyitsaya Sanctuary Resort is located a few minutes’ drive from the airport.
When to go The best time to visit Myanmar is between October and April when the weather is dry and not so hot. At this time the warm and sunny days are ideal for sightseeing throughout the country. The temperatures start to rise in March and May to September is best avoided as this is the rainy season when sightseeing can become difficult.
