June 01 - 1, June 01, 2025
Shinta Mani Angkor is a contemporary boutique hotel, set on the southern end of Royal Palace in Siem Reap, Northwest Cambodia. Bangkok-based American designer Bill Bensley has created spaces that are serene and minimalist yet flamboyant in style, surrounded with sophisticated laid-back environments and inspired by the architecture of Angkor. The challenging design transcends a feeling of an urban resort, albeit with a new architectural language.
The Shinta Mani Angkor hotel offers just 39 rooms, all of which are light, airy and incredibly stylish. Rooms have a black, grey, and white palette, offset by splashes of orange reminiscent of Cambodian monks’ robes. Huge photographs of the Angkor ruins hang on the walls and one on ceiling above the bed means it’s the last thing you’ll see at night. The two in-house restaurants are equally stylish, serving gourmet Western and traditional Khmer cuisines in the dining hall or on the terrace.
The hotel has a beautiful swimming pool, flanked by palms and sleek loungers, with a Pool Bar that serves cocktails, smoothies and juices. Guests at the Shinta Mani Angkor can take one of the bespoke tours including a visit of the Angkor Temples, or to the Tonle Sap lake to see floating villages or to the Phnom Kulen National Park to see the thousand Lingas. On your return, pamper yourself with a visit to the spa, which offers massages, body treatments, and facials.

Getting there Shinta Mani Angkor is a 15 minute drive from Siep Ream International Airport.
When to go Cambodia is hot all year round and the best time to visit is during the dry season, which runs from November to April. It starts to get wetter in May and the wettest months are September and October. It is still possible to visit during this time as rain usually falls as short sharp storms. November is a fantastic month to visit Cambodia as it is very green after the rainy season and the lakes and rivers are full of water.
