Waldorf Astoria Shanghai is a luxury 5-star hotel, set in the heart of the celebrated Shanghai Bund, Eastern China. While the rooms in the new tower are more modern in style, with Art Deco-inspired light fixtures, dark wood desks and bathrooms done up in black-and-white marble. There are three fantastic restaurants, two lounges and a brilliant bar at Waldorf Astoria Shanghai on the Bund, serving an array of authentic Chinese and modern French cuisines, fine dining to light bites. Begin your day at the Grand Brasserie, the hotel’s luxurious, white-columned all-day dining venue then relax in the Waldorf Astoria Spa offering both traditional Chinese and modern therapies. Alternatively, just relax in the large indoor swimming pool with a steam room and sauna.

When to go Shanghai weather is generally warm and humid, with four distinct seasons - a pleasant warm spring, a hot rainy summer, a comfortable cool autumn and a cold winter. The hottest time in Shanghai comes in July and August, with more than 10 days at temperatures above 35 C. The coldest time is from the late January to early February. The spring from March to May is recommended as the best time to travel to Shanghai.
