Andaz Xintiandi Shanghai

Andaz Xintiandi is a five-star hotel, set in the Huangpu District, in the eastern part of Shanghai. The property is Hyatt group’s luxury-boutique brand, delivering stylish bedrooms, choice of restaurants and luxurious facilities for both business and leisure travellers. The hotel is located in downtown Shanghai, in Xintiandi, and close to key attractions such as The Bund and the Old City God Temple, as well as popular shopping districts such as Nanjing Road and Huaihai Road. 

Spread within a soaring 28-story structure, Andaz Xintiandi Shanghai features 307 rooms and suites. The caramel-coloured, wood-heavy rooms are sleek and minimalist. The wood floors are alternating dark and light strips, headboard walls are draped in rich embroidered silk and bathrooms have translucent bathtub and sink, which glow in your choice of LED mood light colours. For more space and striking city views, opt for the corner Andaz King room with almost floor to ceiling walls.

Dining at the Andaz Xintiandi is a treat with a wide choice of restaurants offering a range of cuisines from International, to Chinese to Japanese. There is casual and fine dining and meals can be taken in an air-conditioned environment indoors or alfresco, with a great vantage point for people watching on a sunny day. After your day of sightseeing, relax at an indoor heated lap pool or enjoy holistic treatments at the iSpa that incorporate traditional Chinese medicine techniques.

Andaz Xintiandi Shanghai features 307 rooms and suites. All are elegantly furnished with polished wooden floors, plush beds with headboard swathed in patterned fabrics and large windows with views over the city. Spacious bathrooms, clad in jagged stone have underfloor heating, high-tech Japanese toilets, translucent bathtub and lush Lorenzo Villoresi bath products. Deluxe rooms have floor to ceiling windows and all the mod-cons controlled via iPad.

Families with children are welcome to stay at The Andaz. There is flexibility of accommodation for families offering interconnecting or adjoining rooms with private access. Babysitting service can be arranged, upon request. 

Dine 

Guests have a choice of five dining options at the Andaz Xintiandi Shanghai. Occupying the second floors is Kitchen Studios, an all-day multi-cuisine restaurant. Not to be missed is the weekend brunch, offering an eclectic mix of Chinese and Western dishes. 88 Sushi Bar serves high-end sushi, sashimi and bento, whilst the XUAN Bar offers a relaxed, barrier-free seating environment. There is also Andaz Lounge in the main lobby, perfect for afternoon tea or casual food. 

Relax 

For relaxation, Andaz Xintiandi Shanghai has a 15-metre long indoor heated lap pool with blue LED lighting and a fully equipped fitness centre and private studio with the latest TechnoGym equipment. For ultra-relaxation, there is iSpa with 10 luxurious en-suite rooms for treatments that incorporate traditional Chinese medicine techniques.

Guests have options to do their luxury brand shopping in Andaz Xintiandi Mall that showcases smart Shanghai-based fashion brands, including La Vie, Uma Wang, Ch’in and Heirloom. For an authentic street-food, walk across the road to the tiny, Lan Ting’s famous home-style Shanghainese fare. Getting there An 11-hour international flight from London. Andaz Shanghai can arrange transfers from Shanghai's Pudong International Airport, about 45 minutes by car.

When to go Shanghai weather is generally warm and humid, with four distinct seasons - a pleasant warm spring, a hot rainy summer, a comfortable cool autumn and a cold winter. The hottest time in Shanghai comes in July and August, with more than 10 days at temperatures above 35 C. The coldest time is from the late January to early February. The spring from March to May is recommended as the best time to travel to Shanghai.
