Mandarin Oriental Shanghai features 362 rooms and suites. All are wonderfully spacious, fusing traditional Oriental design with chic contemporary touches. The large Swish marble bathrooms have deep-soaking tubs, twin vanities and walk-in rain showers. The Deluxe and Mandarin Rooms and larger Club Rooms with access to the Club lounge. Emulating the feel of a residential living room, the large Suites features living and dining room, with panoramic views of the Huangpu river.

ChildCare 

Families with children are welcome to stay at the Mandarin Oriental Shanghai. Younger guests receive a whole host of complimentary amenities including bath products, cribs, highchairs, strollers and plenty of games to make the stay as enjoyable as possible. Restaurants offers special menus including room service. Babysitting is available on request.

There are three restaurants at Mandarin Oriental Shanghai. Fifty 8° Grill, headed by acclaimed Michelin-starred chef Richard Ekkebus provides an exceptional dining focussed on the traditional French cuisine, Yong Yi Ting the Chinese restaurant specialises in regional Jiang Nan dishes. Zest Restaurant, serves Asian and international cuisine from an impressive selection of cooking stations. Riviera Lounge, serving afternoon tea and there is Qi Bar, Shanghai’s best hangout after dark.

In the basement of the Mandarin Oriental Shanghai hotel is a shimmering gold spa. There are 3 spa suites offering ancient Chinese practices, such as acupressure massage and reflexology, with cutting-edge beauty treatments. Pre-massage features include crystal steam room, aroma experience showers, heated stone loungers and whirlpool tubs equipped with shoulder pummelling jets. Location Mandarin Oriental Shanghai is located on 111 Pudong Road on the banks of the Huangpu River, in the heart of Pudong’s central financial district.

Getting there An 11-hour international flight from London. Mandarin Oriental Shanghai can arrange transfers from Shanghai's Pudong International Airport, about 45 minutes by car.

When to go Shanghai weather is generally warm and humid, with four distinct seasons - a pleasant warm spring, a hot rainy summer, a comfortable cool autumn and a cold winter. The hottest time in Shanghai comes in July and August, with more than 10 days at temperatures above 35 C. The coldest time is from the late January to early February. The spring from March to May is recommended as the best time to travel to Shanghai.
