Paradise Suites Hotel: Luxury Stay in Vietnam

Paradise Suites Hotel is located on the Tuan Chau Island, south of Halong Bay. This new, sleek and stylish hotel is ideal for exploring the Halong bay and Cát Bà Island. The hotel’s 158 spacious air-conditioned Suites, feature minibars and satellite flat-screen televisions. Private bathrooms have rainfall showers, necessary toiletries and bathrobes. Amenities include free Wi-Fi, phones and safe lockers.

There is a restaurant serving Western and Vietnamese cuisines. The menu is perhaps a little limited but very good nevertheless. The local squid cakes are definitely worth trying. The hotel pub has a wide choice of drinks menu and friendly staff. The hotel spa is beautifully designed with a relaxing atmosphere. It also has a private beach about 3-minute drive away serviced by a free-shuttle that takes you there upon request.

The hotel management also owns the luxury “Paradise Cruises” that can be used to book a one-day Cruise Explorer package. The crew onboard was very friendly, and we managed to take the bamboo boat, touring the floating village and did some kayaking to a very small beach where the guests can swim. The lunch on board was extravagant with over 7 different dishes. A great experience!

All rooms are large, beautiful and well-appointed with pleasing interior and as seem the norm these days, one wall of the bath has glass and blinds so there is option to see through either way. The bed has an ample supply of luxurious pillows and duvets.

ChildCare Children are welcome to stay at Paradise Suites Hotel but there are no specific facilities available. However, babysitting services can be arranged, if requested.

Dine There are two dining options at the Paradise Suites Hotel. The cozy and friendly setting at 1958 Restaurant, located few doors away from the hotel, serves traditional Vietnamese cuisine. The nearby JO Pub serves as the hotel’s Bar and has a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Local artists have been invited to liven the place up with unique designs.

Relax The Paradise Suites hotel offers spa services using techniques from around the world and ideal for those moments in between exploring Halong Bay and the surrounding area. Offering a wide variety of massage therapies and unique beauty treatments, the spa services aim to satisfy body, mind and soul. There are also Jacuzzis and a steam room & sauna for individual, couple or group getaways.

Experience The hotel management also owns the luxury “Paradise Cruises”. You have a choice of taking one or two-night cruise. Alternatively, you can take a day cruise and stay overnight at the hotel. The day cruise (half day or full day) are the exact equivalent of the overnight cruises for the activities. Difference is that you get a more comfortable stay at the hotel and don’t get affected by the vagaries of the weather, but of course miss out on the delights of sleeping on the sea.

Location Paradise Suites Hotel is located on the Tuan Chau Island, south of Halong Bay.

Getting There The major nearby airport is Hanoi or Hai Phong Airport. Halong Bay is approximately 165 kilometres from Hanoi and transfer by road takes about 3-4 hours depending on traffic. If you travel from Hanoi, most cruise trips will arrange transfer from your hotel to the pier by either cruise bus or private car.

When to go The best time to visit Vietnam is from November to March, when it is warm and dry in the South but begins to get cooler as you travel north of Nha Trang. From April or May to October, summer monsoon brings hot, humid weather except in the mountains up north. A slight break in monsoon during July and August makes it the second-high season in the South but unpredictable typhoons can hit central and northern Vietnam. May, June and September are usually the quietest months.
