Paradise Peak is the most luxurious traditional-style junk boat that has redefined the boundaries of Five Star cruising on the Halong Bay, in northeast Vietnam. With only eight spacious cabins, it’s a perfect choice for a group of families or friends travelling together. On-board facilities include a gourmet restaurant offering a la carte menus, a spacious Spa with a sauna and Jacuzzi and a range of activities from snorkelling and diving to exploring islands with the best English-speaking guides.
Itineraries aboard the Paradise Peak usually last just one night. Destinations include Bai Tu Long Bay, Halong Bay, Lan Ha Bay and Cat Ba Island, during which you will visit a local fishing village on a rowing boat, swim off a private beach, go fishing with locals and visiting caves. On board you can enjoy cooking classes, sunbathing, tai chi, wine tasting and massages. Back in the cabin, you have floor to ceiling windows to enjoy breath-taking views of the famous bay.

Each cabin is spacious in size (38-42 sqm) with ample storage space, ground to ceiling windows and bathrooms featuring Jacuzzi bathtubs and walk-in showers. In-suite amenities include a butler service, a private dining area and a mini bar while Superior and Premium Suites have the added benefit of a private balcony or terrace for enjoying the landscapes.
ChildCare Families with children are welcome to stay aboard the Paradise Peak but there are no specific facilities available for children, however inter-connecting cabins are available for families. It is worth being aware that some of the sites you will visit have lots of steps, some of which are steep and can be uneven. Children will love the excitement of an ocean adventure but safety of children remains the responsibility of parents.
Dine All meals are included during your stay on board Paradise Peak. Tuck into delicious local specialities as well as international favourites from the a la carte menu options, served with complimentary house wine, local beer and soft drinks. You can dine in the elegant dining room or in your suite if you prefer some privacy. On some evenings an amazing seafood BBQ will be served on deck.
Relax Facilities on board Paradise Peak include a terrace bar serving cocktails, teas, juices and quality wines. There is a world-class La Perfume Spa with three massage rooms, a sauna and a Jacuzzi, and you can also indulge in in-room spa treatments. However, those who like to keep fit can visit the fitness room, so you don’t have to abandon your normal gym routine during your cruise. There is also a lounge on the upper deck with comfortable seating and a bar with sun loungers.
Experience All excursions aboard the Paradise Peak are undertaken by an English-speaking guide and usually includes venturing into some of the bay's hidden caves like Sung Sot Cave and climbing to the top of Titop Island or one of the karsts to take in an elevated view. Guests on longer itineraries may also visit Cua Van, the largest fishing village in Halong Bay, surrounded by karst limestone mountains and islets and the Luon Cave, an open-air cave, accessed by a small boat.
Location 170 kilometres from Hanoi, in northeastern Vietnam, Halong Bay is a UNESCO World Heritage site and undoubtedly one of the most beautiful places on earth.
Getting there 15-hour international flight (one change) to Hanoi's Noi Bai International Airport followed by a 3-hour drive to Halong Bay.
When to go The best time of year to visit Halong Bay is during the spring or autumn. Because the bay is situated in the northern part of the country, it can get colder in the winter. The rainy season here is at its peak in July to September. July is the hottest month, January the coolest. The dry season runs from November to April.
