Temple Tree Resort & Spa is a boutique hotel, set on the northern shores of Phewa Lake in Pokhara, Western Nepal. Named after the temple tree plant – frangipani found here, the hotel comprises of traditional two-storey structures with stone tiled roofs, surrounded with lush green plants, bougainvillea and fragrant frangipani flowers, when in bloom. Perfectly situated near the lake, it forms an excellent base for a few days, from which to explore the city and its surrounds.
There are 64 rooms housed in a cluster of two-storey cottages, set around a central courtyard. All are spacious in size (specially to store your trekking and climbing equipment) and are decorated in the traditional, but modern design. Expect hardwood and hand-crafted beds, study tables and chairs. There are also two larger Apartments and a separate Suite. There are two restaurants; the Bay Leaf serves multi-cuisine and the Tree House café has light meals. And, there is also an Island Bar.
For relaxation, there is a large swimming pool at the Temple Tree Resort but for ultimate relaxation, visit the Temple Tree Spa which offers a range of treatments based on Asian medicine. The spa also offers yoga classes or you can decide to relax in the central courtyard which has interesting nooks to spend your day with a book. Activity enthusiasts can go cycling, boating on the lake or take short or multi-day treks. Cultural tours include visits to World Peace Pagoda and Barahi Temple.

Getting there Fly to Kathmandu, via the Middle East or India (13 hours), followed by a 1-hour internal flight to Pokhara.
When to go Nepal has a Monsoonal climate with four main seasons. Autumn and spring are the two most favourable seasons for visiting Nepal. Autumn (September to early December) brings in clear weather with sunny days and warm nights. Spring (March to May) with occasional rain falls. From June to September, is the monsoon season. Uncomfortable time to visit as the climate of Nepal at this time of year brings about hot weather and rain falls almost every day.
