Safari Experience Taking an elephant safari through the idyllic maze of Nepal's National Parks is one of the most treasured and sought after adventures of Tiger Tops guests. Guided by an expert naturalist, learn how the interaction of flora and fauna create the ecosystems of the Park. Although specific sightings cannot be guaranteed, we are confident you are in with the best chance of spotting the great one-horned rhino, leopards, the mighty Bengal Tiger, sambar deer and the sloth bear.

When planning a visit to Chitwan, try to give yourself enough time for several safaris. The wildlife is unpredictable and you can't rely on sightings every time. Two whole days in the park is really the minimum for wildlife spotting. Regardless, an elephant safari in the jungle is a truly soothing experience where, surrounded by beautiful scenery, one can be at peace with nature.

Tipping Tipping is a personal expense and depends entirely on the quality of services provided to you and your appreciation of those services. Whilst tipping is not mandatory, it is expected at restaurants and by drivers, guides and tour escorts. The following estimated guideline may help you in determining the tip amount, should you wish to tip any service provider in Laos. Tipping in restaurants is about 10% of the bill, if not included. Tour escorts and local guides between Rs 500-800 per day. Drivers between Rs 350-500 per day.

And More Nepal has numerous cultural practices that are unusual to foreigners. In the tourist areas there is a high degree of tolerance towards visitors, but away from these places foreigners should be sensitive to local customs. Never accept or offer anything, or eat with the left hand. Do not eat from someone else's plate or offer food from one's own. Women should dress conservatively and cover as much as possible. Permission should be sought before taking photographs, particularly at religious sites. Public displays of affection between men and women are frowned upon.

When to go The best time to visit Chitwan National Park is from October to March for wildlife and December to March for birdwatchers. The months of November through February are cooler. March to June are best avoided as the temperatures are highest during this time with the muggy weather making it uncomfortable, also with the grass so high due to the monsoons game viewing is poor.

Passport/Visa A valid passport is required for all tourists except Indian nationals to travel to Nepal. A valid passport is required for all tourists except Indian nationals to travel to Nepal.
