The Pavilions Himalayas: Eco-Luxury Resort in Nepal

The Pavilions Himalayas is a luxury boutique hotel, set about half an hour south of Phewa Lake in Pokhara. Set high in the mountains and on land still farmed by the resort’s Anglo-Nepali owners, the hotel provides a luxurious space in a rural setting, that is surrounded with peace and tranquillity. Luxury here is predominantly from local materials, including homemade biodegradable toiletries and all energy is sourced by solar-power and biogas.

Nestled in a lush forested valley beside a small river, the Pavilions Himalayas offers just 15 villas, spread around a central club house. All are spacious in size and tastefully designed in a blend of contemporary and traditional style. Each villa has its own private terrace or garden with spectacular views of the snow-capped Annapurna peaks. Set within the club house is a lounge with comfortable seating, as well as an outdoor swimming pool, fitness centre, sauna, Jacuzzi and spa.

Dining options at the Pavilions Himalayas include delicious Nepali and Western cuisine served in the dining room or al fresco in the gardens. There is much to do here in this Pokhara valley. Nature trails and treks abound in all directions with ridgetops offering panoramic views of the Annapurna range. For activity enthusiasts there is paragliding and white-water rafting, while leisure travellers can take a tour to Pokhara to view its Davis Fall, Brahi Temple and go boating on Fewa Lake.

Location Pavilions Himalayas can be found deep within a valley near Phewa Lake in Nepal's Pokhara region.

Getting there 10-hour flight (with one change) to Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport, followed by a 1-hour domestic flight to Pokhara. The Pavilions is approximately 6km from Pokhara airport.

When to go Nepal has a Monsoonal climate with four main seasons. Autumn and spring are the two most favourable seasons for visiting Nepal. Autumn (September to early December) brings in clear weather with sunny days and warm nights. Spring (March to May) with occasional rain falls. From June to September, is the monsoon season. Uncomfortable time to visit as the climate of Nepal at this time of year brings about hot weather and rain falls almost every day.
