Waldorf Astoria Beijing is a luxury hotel, set in the heart of the Wangfujing area in Beijing. Set in a gold-box tower the hotel looms majestically, an elegant latticework of copper and bronze cleverly designed to age gracefully via a process of natural oxidation. Beyond the glittering threshold, there is contemporary Chinese art, with eye-catching pieces lending a dash of daring and a sense of place to the public areas. Centrally located it’s a perfect base from which to explore this city.
Spread within two wings of the 12-storey, Waldorf Astoria Beijing tower are 176 rooms with 43 suites. Guest rooms are awash with colour, Art Deco design frills, Ferragamo bathroom amenities, tablet-controlled room technology, and electronic Japanese toilets exude modernity and comfort. There are an exclusive set of ultra-swank, hutong guest suites encircling a traditional Chinese courtyard with exclusive luxuries of an underground swimming pool and a private restaurant.
Three dining options at the Waldorf Astoria Beijing include Brasserie 1893, that serves a selection of French dishes. Peacock Alley, with a contemporary ambiance, perfect for something quick and light during the day. And, Zijin Mansion that serves the best of Cantonese and Beijing specialities. For relaxation, there is a Ming Dynasty inspired Hutong Courtyard, a beautiful indoor pool and a spa featuring a blend of Chinese philosophies and innovative techniques.

Location The Waldorf Astoria is located in the heart of the Ancient city of Beijing within easy access to all major historical and modern sites. The Temple of Heaven, Forbidden City and the Great Wall are all nearby and the delightful concierge team would be happy to help you arrange a visit.
Getting there Located just 27km from Beijing Capital International Airport, the hotel is best reached by car and the journey should take around 50-minutes.
When to go Beijing enjoys four distinctive seasons owning to its humid continental climate, ranging from very warm during the summer to chilly and dry during the winter. Autumn is the optimal season to visit Beijing as the weather is gorgeous and fewer tourists are in town. In winter, it’s glacial outside and the northern winds cut through the city. Arid spring is OK, apart from the awesome sand clouds that sweep in from Inner Mongolia and the static electricity that discharges everywhere.
