Aqua Mekong features just 20 air-conditioned designer suites. All are impressively spacious (30 sqm) and furnished with Californian king-size bed, sitting area, polished hardwood floors and floor-to-ceiling windows for stunning views along the Mekong river. Some suites have privately screened outdoor balcony, complete with daybed overlooking the river. Sleek en-suite bathrooms feature the latest eco-sensitive technology, river facing window, plus dual sinks and a large walk in shower.

ChildCare

Families with children are welcome to stay aboard Aqua Mekong. There are four sets of interconnecting suites, available for families, with one suite able to become a private living room to create a 60 square metre floating apartment.

Dine

Headed by Michelin-starred consulting chef David Thompson, whose Nahm in Bangkok was named the best restaurant in Asia, the Aqua Mekong restaurant pays homage to the South East Asian cuisine with Vietnamese and Khmer specialities. Meals are prepared with fresh locally sourced ingredients and served in the dining room surrounded by floor-to-ceiling windows. Expect Vietnamese catfish with shallots, chilies, and Thai basil, and grilled river prawns with peanut relish.

Relax

Facilities aboard the Aqua Mekong include an indulgent plunge pool on the Observation Deck offering panoramic vistas of vibrant river life. The sleek indoor lounge is a great place to relax in a cool atmosphere with a refreshing drink or relax in the private screening room that shows films to educate you about the area. There is also a spa showcasing the traditions of Southeast Asian massage, which is available throughout the day and evening by appointment.

Guests on the Aqua Mekong cruise get to sample of the region’s culture and natural history with daily excursions and wide range of activities. Hop on a skiff and glide deep into the river’s tributaries through hidden flooded forests and remote stilt villages to uncover over two-thousand years of Indochina’s human history. Visit the floating markets of Cai Be at the centre of Vietnamese culture, and take private audiences with the monks at Long Son Tu and Moat Kla’s Buddhist temples.
