DAY 1
KUMBA
Your journey starts with a luxury cruise ship experience from Maumere, a popular embarkation port for cruise ships exploring the Indonesian archipelago. As you set sail to Kumba Island, the first evening is a sunset over the ocean. Unwind and enjoy the sea, the stars above. The cruise ship has all the amenities you need to relax and look forward to the adventures ahead while sailing overnight. Be sure to bring comfortable clothing, swimwear, and sun protection to make the most of your cruise.
DAY 2
ALOR ISLAND
Wake up to the sight of Kumba Island, part of Indonesia's famous chain of volcanoes and known for its active volcano. Start the day with a leisurely walk along one of its beautiful pebble beaches and soak up the island's natural beauty. Then it's time for an underwater adventure. Snorkel in the crystal clear waters to explore the coral reefs full of colourful fish. After your underwater exploration, return to the ship and sail overnight to Alor Island, more wonders await.
DAY 3
ALOR ISLAND
Arrive early at Alor Island's Kebola Bay and spend the day exploring and immersing in culture. Hike through the hills and forests of Kalabahi and end up in Takpala, a traditional village to get a deep dive into Indonesian life and culture. Spend the day with locals and learn their customs. When visiting villages, be sure to dress in accordance with local traditions to show respect for the community. As the day winds down, return to your ship, anchored for another peaceful night.
DAY 4
TERNATE ISLAND
Greet the morning with excitement as you visit the beautiful Pura and Ternate islands, located in the Banda Sea—a remote and pristine marine area renowned for its natural beauty and exclusive exploration opportunities. Spend the day beachcombing on their pristine shores and swimming in the cool, turquoise waters. Keep an eye out for dolphins, as they often play in these waters—an experience you won’t want to miss. Seeing them in their natural habitat is the highlight of the day. Enjoy the serene environment before returning to the ship, with memories of a great day.
DAY 5
WATUBALU ISLAND
Sail to Watubalu Island and feel the sea breeze as you get there. Once ashore, hike through the island’s jungle. The island is a wildlife haven with wild deer, exotic wildlife, and other fascinating creatures. The day is an intimate encounter with nature in its purest form.
DAY 6
LEMBATA
Lembata Island awaits and you can visit Lamalerap, a village by the sea where traditional whaling is still practiced, before you head to the famous Bali for more adventure. Watch fishermen in their small sailboats as they navigate the waters. As the sun sets, enjoy another sunset from the deck of your cruise with 360 degree views as you sail around Lembata.
DAY 7
LEMBATA
A day of exploration at Waienga Bay on Lembata Island, venturing off the beaten track to discover remote and authentic experiences. See the grandeur of Ile Api volcano and wander through timeless villages where Ikat textile dyeing is still practiced. These communities are a world untouched by modernity. Return to the ship for the last overnight, savoring the memories of an amazing journey.
DAY 8
MAUMERE - DEPARTURE
Your journey ends as you arrive back in Maumere. Disembark and consider extending your stay on land. Maumere's beaches with coral gardens are perfect for snorkeling and scuba diving. For the adventurous, rent a jet ski or banana boat for a fun ride across the waters, a great ending to your trip.

This tour was inspired by our fascination with the rich biodiversity and cultural heritage of the Indonesia archipelago. Few places in the world offer such a mix of adventure and beauty.
Cruising through the Flores Sea, we wanted our travellers to experience the magic of remote islands, colourful coral reefs, and encounters with marine life like whale sharks. The legendary Komodo dragons of Komodo National Park add an extraordinary wildlife element, while visits to the historic Spice Islands offer a glimpse into Indonesia’s trading past.
We designed this journey to bring together volcanic landscapes, quiet beaches, and traditional villages that still preserve their customs. Raja Ampat’s untouched marine world was also a key influence—its beauty reminded us that slow travel by sea reveals parts of Indonesia that remain hidden from most. This tour reflects our aim to connect travellers with nature, culture, and authentic island life in a meaningful and relaxed way.
