KOMODO NATIONAL PARK: Trek to Rinca Island, part of the UNESCO-listed Komodo National Park and see the legendary Komodo dragons. Amidst hills and savannahs you’ll find a unique ecosystem teeming with wildlife, an unforgettable glimpse into one of Indonesia’s most amazing natural habitats.
SUMBANESE WEAVING: In Waingapu see the art of Sumbanese weaving passed down through generations. Visit remote villages where women weave Ikat textiles using natural dyes and backstrap looms. This hands-on experience will show you the cultural identity woven into every thread of Sumba’s iconic cloth.
CRATER LAKE: Satonda Island invites you into its volcanic heart where a mysterious crater lake lies surrounded by tropical forest. A peaceful haven away from the crowds, the lake is steeped in local legend and a great spot for reflection, exploration and coastal views.
CULTURAL MELANGE: Rote Island is a mix of local tradition and European legacy. Wander through markets filled with Rotinese Ikats and silver ornaments, then enjoy a live performance of the sasando, a palm-leaf harp. Portuguese influences, village life and craft traditions make Rote the cultural finale of your journey.

DAY 1
Moyo Island
Set sail from Bali on an amazing Indonesian pinisi and head to Gili Trawangan, a paradise island famous for its beaches and underwater world. Spend the day sunbathing, swimming in the crystal clear waters and enjoying the island’s laid back atmosphere. As the sun sets, sail to the Sumbawa region and enjoy the ocean and stars.
DAY 2
SATONDA
Wake up to the lush landscapes of Moyo Island. Trek through the monsoon forests to find hidden waterfalls where you can take a refreshing dip in natural pools. In the afternoon visit the mystical Satonda Island, an extinct volcano with a crater lake. Snorkel around the island’s coral reefs and end the day on the ship, watching the sunset.
DAY 3
GILI BANTA
Sail to Sumbawa Island. Visit the remote village of Wera, famous for its boat-building heritage. See the traditional shipbuilding process and meet the skilled craftsmen. If weather permits, visit Sangean Island, with its active volcano and stunning views. End the day at the unspoiled Gili Banta, where a snorkelling adventure in Banta Bay awaits, a glimpse into a marine sanctuary.
DAY 4
RINCA ISLAND
Start the day with a visit to Mesa Island, where the Bajau “Sea Gypsies” live. See their way of life, including fishermen harvesting their catch and the stilt houses above the water. Spend the day in the Komodo National Park, a marine park comprising 80 islands. Dive into the waters at selected spots to see the coral reefs. As evening falls, sail to Rinca Bay and enjoy stargazing from the deck.
DAY 5
RINCA ISLAND
Rinca Island adventure. See the island’s famous inhabitants, the Komodo dragons, and other wildlife like horses, deer and buffalo. Hike up the hills for a panoramic view of the island. Enjoy the natural beauty and peace.
DAY 6
KOMODO ISLAND
Go deeper into Komodo National Park with a park ranger to the secret haunts of Komodo dragons. See their dens and nesting sites and learn more about these amazing creatures. Later visit the Red Beach with its red sand. Spend the afternoon on the deck, relaxing as the ship sails across the Linta Strait, the end of another day.
DAY 7
Sumba
Arrive in West Sumba early in the morning and visit the village of Waikelo. This is a journey back in time as you walk among villagers in Ikat clothes, traditional houses and ancient megalithic gravesites. These remnants of the past offer a glimpse into Sumba’s cultural heritage. In the late afternoon return to the boat and sail to Sumba’s north coast, with the ocean breeze.
DAY 8
Sumba
Anchor at Waingapu and visit the nearby villages famous for their Sumbanese weaving. See the cotton being transformed into beautiful textiles. Later drive to the Prainatang Valley and hike to a hilltop village, a combination of nature and culture. As the day ends, relax on the pinisi, stargazing into the night sky while sailing to Sawu.
DAY 9
SAWU ISLAND
Disembark at Savu Island, a place known for its friendly people. Visit Namata village with megalithic stones and traditional houses. Spend the day in an Ikat art and craft workshop to learn more about Indonesian culture or beach activities like snorkelling or swimming in the clear waters. As the day ends, sail to Rote Island, enjoying the peaceful sea.
DAY 10
ROTE ISLAND
Start your day at Baa, Rote Island with Portuguese influence. Walk through the markets and see the local handicrafts. See the beauty of Rotinese Ikats, shiny silver ornaments and hats made from lontar leaves. A unique musical experience awaits with the sasando, a 12-string harp made from lontar leaves, a glimpse into the island’s culture. Spend the day in these local delights and then back to the ship for an overnight sail to Kupang.
DAY 11
KUPANG - DEPARTURE
As your trip ends, arrive in Kupang and disembark from the pinisi at Tenau’s old harbour. If time allows, visit the East Nusa Tenggara Museum, a treasure trove of regional art and artifacts. This last excursion is a perfect ending. After the museum, go to El Tari Airport in Kupang for your next journey or to start your next adventure, with memories of your amazing trip.
