Premier Pool Villas are set at the back of the resort while the Beach Pool Villas have pools have direct access to the beach. For those looking for something a little more spacious and private, opt for one of three Suites, including the beachfront two-bedroom Tubkaak Suite with an infinity pool.

ChildCare Families with children are welcome to stay at the Tubkaak but it is more suitable for children of 10 years and older as there are no facilities for children. However, the two-bedroom Tubkaak Suite can be used by families with children and there is a small kids' pool. The resort often have embargoes on children under 10.

Dine Guests have a choice of two restaurants at the Tubkaak. The Arundina restaurant located on a wooden terrace on the beachfront, features a menu of delicious Thai classics prepared by talented chefs creating authentic mouthwatering dishes. Di Mare restaurant offers the simple and authentic Italian cuisine offering a menu including pizza and pasta by the sea. The Sundowner bar lives up to its name, as the perfect place to enjoy the famous west coast sunset.

Relax Nestled within a tropical landscape is the intimate L'Escape Spa retreat, sensitively designed to create a very tranquil and calming aura. Expert therapists offer traditional Oriental and Thai therapies in three treatment rooms with hot and cold plunge pools, and yoga sessions on offer. The Tubkaak also has a small gym and a library with a selection of books.

Experience Although the emphasis at The Tubkaak is very much on relaxing, it is ideally located to explore its surrounding region on complimentary mountain bikes. Guests can play golf, go mountain biking, or take to snorkelling, and kayaking. Take Longtail boat tour around the islands around the Ko Kong archipelago or wander amongst butterflies and monkeys and take a dip in one of the stunning rainforest pools. Day trips can be made to the Hong Islands, or further to Phi Phi islands.

Location Tubkaak is located about 30 minutes from Krabi Airport. It is on a stretch of beach with 3-4 other hotels, yet you won't find little beach bars or local restaurants, so it is quite untouristy.

Getting there Fly 11 hours to Bangkok then a 1-hour 20-minute flight to Krabi followed by a 30-minute drive. Many guests like to break the journey in Bangkok on the way there or on the way back. For guests wanting to come from Phuket, it is about a 3-hour drive. Alternatively you could take a boat and stop on Koh Yao Noi to make a 3-centre itinerary combining Phuket, Yao Noi and Krabi.

When to go Tropical climate and the driest months to visit are December to March. November and April are also good months to visit and you may get some rain, although it is outside of the monsoon season. May to October is the monsoon with downpours occurring once or twice a day, rather than constant rain.
