The Pimalai Resort & Spa is a luxury beach resort, set on the southwestern shores of Koh Lanta island, in southern Thailand. Located on a beautiful pristine white sand beach, the resort has 121 spacious and elegant rooms and villas, designed in a contemporary traditional style. The deluxe rooms set in clusters of four are in low rise Thai style houses, while the voluminous one, two and three-bedroom villas have their own private swimming pool and beachfront location.
Dining options at the Pimalai Resort include five restaurants and three bars spread across the property. Traditional Thai dishes are of course a favourite but there are also options for superb seafood and authentic international cuisine, all prepared with extra fresh locally sourced ingredients. Facilities include two swimming pools with wonderful vistas across the sea, a simplistic spa offering aromatherapy massages, scrubs and wraps and complimentary non-motorised water sports.
Stay The Pimalai Resort features 121 air-conditioned rooms, suites and villas. All are spacious with lead-in Deluxe Room starting at 48 sqm. The larger Bayfront Deluxe Rooms (great for honeymooners) as well as the one and two-bedroom Pavilion Suites are close to the beach. The one, two and three-bedroom Pool Villas are built on the hillside and have infinity pools, living rooms and kitchens. Beach Villas are well positioned and some have a private pool, others share in small clusters. Modern amenities include tea and coffee facilities, satellite TV, CD/DVD player, fridge and minibar.
ChildCare Families with children are welcome to stay at The Pimalai Resort and Spa. There is a small games room open from November to April. Restaurants have children's menus but please note that children are not allowed in all of the resort's restaurants and certain parts of the hillside swimming pool. Babysitting can be arranged, upon request.
Dine Guests at the Pimalai Resort & Spa have a choice of five restaurants offering an extensive variety of cuisines to suit everyone's tastes. Each has its own style and ambience ranging from the relaxed Banyan Tree Pool Side Café to the elegant Seven Seas offering an a la carte fusion menu with a selection of international wines. There is also Spice N Nice Thai Restaurant and a range of well-stocked bars beautifully set for sundowners.
Relax Pamper yourself with a visit to the Pimalai spa with seven straw-topped salas containing double and single treatment rooms offering bespoke massages, body scrubs and wraps, using organic ingredients, exotic herbs and spices. The aim here is to restore your inner calm, leave you with a healthy glow and a spring in your step. Other facilities include two elevated infinity pools with breathtaking views of the sea, two tennis courts, fully equipped gym and a library.
Experience Pimalai Resort & Spa offers a whole host of complimentary non-motorised water-sports such as canoes, kayaks, sailing, windsurfing and snorkelling. There is an activity centre offering mountain bikes, trekking and tennis and there is also an on-site PADI dive centre (Nov – Apr), offering water skiing and diving. Other activities include elephant trekking, sunset cruises and Thai cooking classes.

Location Located on the south west coast of the island of Koh Lanta Yai in the province of Krabi, and close to Lanta Marine National Park.
Getting there 11-hour international flight to Bangkok International Suvarnabhumi Airport, followed by a 1-hour domestic flight to Krabi Airport. Pimalai Resort is then 2-hours by car and boat.
When to go Tropical climate and the driest months to visit are December to March. November and April are also good months to visit and you may get some rain, although it is outside of the monsoon season. May to October is the monsoon with downpours occurring once or twice a day, rather than constant rain.
