Anantara Layan – Beachfront Luxury in Phuket

Anantara Layan Phuket Resort is a classy beach resort, set at the end of Layan beach on the northwest coast of the Phuket island. Backed by undulating jungle and fronted by a crescent of golden sands, the resort has 30 rooms and 47 spacious pool villas. All have large bathrooms with deep soaking baths. 

ChildCare Families with children are welcome to stay at Anantara Layan Phuket Resort. There is a Family Pool Villa and young explorers will love the Chang Club designed for children aged four to 11 years. There are plenty of fun activities including a range of games and arts and crafts supervised by experienced and friendly staff. Babysitting service can be arranged, upon request. 

Dine Dining is a highlight, with two gourmet restaurants within the Anantara Layan Phuket Resort. Set on a hillside, the Thai eatery Dee Plee serves beautifully presented dishes that exemplify the kingdom’s famous four flavour balance. Down at ground level, Sala Layan is the all-day dining option featuring traditional Italian cuisine with premium meats and seafood grilled to perfection. Guests who like to learn Thai cooking can book for a cookery class at Spice Spoons; Anantara’s cooking school.

Relax Leisure facilities at the Anantara Layan Phuket Resort include two outdoor swimming pools and the Anantara Spa with 7 luxurious treatment suites overlooking the sea. Try the 90-minute signature massage, which will leave your limbs feeling as limp as a ribbon. Relax in the beachfront pool or take long leisurely walks along Layan Beach which takes you as far as Baan Thai Surin Hill. Elsewhere you can stretch out on the soft sands or try your hand at some non-motorised watersports.

Experience Those in search of adventure can also discover nearby hidden coves and bays with a trip aboard the resort’s luxury yacht, Major Affair, which can cater for up to eight guests. Anantara Layan Phuket Resort also offers plenty of watersport activities from snorkelling to kayaking, windsurfing or sailing and offers free use of equipment such as kayaks, canoes and surf boards. There is a fitness centre for those who like to keep fit and a Muay Thai boxing ring to master this martial art.

Getting there 12-hour international flight via Bangkok to Phuket International airport. Anantara Layan Phuket Resort is a 30-minute drive from the airport.

When to go Tropical climate and the driest months to visit are December to March. November and April are also good months to visit and you may get some rain, although it is outside of the monsoon season. May to October is the monsoon with downpours occurring once or twice a day, rather than constant rain.
